Shell MMP on Presto

As someone who has done hundreds of audit's with Shell, Exxon, Phillips and the rest of the brands that the same MSP offers, I'm extremely disappointed but not surprised. For the past few years they have continued to lower the pay and cut corners whenever they can. First it was getting rid of the schedulers for the Ishopfirst program and now going over to the Presto Insta shops platform.

I complete many remote locations, many with no internet access, I am wondering how are we supposed to check in to the app if we have no connection ? Also it's going to be a pain in the ass inputting all the photo's in Presto as it's often so buggy !! I can't remember all the countless times I had to reset the app because it crashed and the website is not that great either. Compared to Sassie where I can upload all the photo's rather quickly, I bet it's going to be twice the amount of time if not more for Presto. I remember one Shell location located on the Florida Turnpike that had over 40 pumps. Can you imagine trying to upload all those photos on Presto ?!?

I know that the MSP is always needing help with this program as when I have seen them at a shopper event, they are passing out the safety vests to get more people to join the program and complete the gas station shops. I just don't think this is the way to do it. Sometimes I just don't think they realize how much shoppers do for them, especially considering the base pay of $14. I'm hoping this is just a test and after the trial it goes back to Sassie.

Speaking of the clocks, can ya'll check to see if you have two clocks counting down? I have one counting down the start time to January 16? The other clock is counting time to an end time of January 9? Is this just me?

For the person asking about the clocks, I have the same thing on my shops. So, I need to be finished by the 9th, but can't start until the 16th, and will have 4 days from the 16th to complete the shops I have selected ahead of time? After that I think we have to only plan a route day by day, because everything you claim after that will only have 24 hours to fully completed.

My phone takes photos at 3264 x 2448, and I have seen people say they get error messages saying the photo is too small. Well, yeah, this sounds like a blast. Who's up for a challenge with me?

This project doesn't start until the 16th, correct? Did I read that right?

Thanks.
I have not done these shops before, but 14$ seems low for what is required, should I wait and see if the fee goes up?

Yes, it's low. If you're slow, and there's a four pump station near you, it might be worth grabbing it in order to get some experience with the shop. Traditionally, you could wait a bit for these. With the shop going to Presto this year, that could change.

@hotrod22 The clocks are still messed up. Although it says it starts the 16th, I wonder if they swapped the start and end times and the shop is really supposed to start the 9th? I won't matter. As soon as the end time strikes 0, the shops will fall off and will likely be locked out of reclaiming them for a period of time.

You know, I was wondering that myself. I have never seen this program start so late in the month. I am new to this reporting platform, but this is just confusing. I think the lock out or "Cool Down" time (whatever they call it) is 24 hours. So hopefully I don't lose the locations right up the road from me. They are the only ones I will do at base pay because I don't have to travel much to get there.

Thanks for the Reply.
Have all the gas shops been moved to Presto? How do you book them in advance to do during the week?
Well, my son, who have NEVER let a shop drop off of Presto, just got a 4 day cool down for not making it to a red letter gas station shop before 4:30 am.. when you can't do the shop anyway because you can only do them from 06:00 - 22:00. So I don't know if the cool down periods are still going to be 24 hours or not. And now I'm afraid to test it.

They do not need help with this project. Or any others. They over-recruit so there is more competition between shoppers and they can drop fees lower and lower, knowing that someone in their nationwide millions of shoppers will always work for "fun" or "free" stuff. Those who work for pay and do their best to supply accurate information are being phased out. Sorry, I'm absolutely convinced that this is the case. It's business, as Shopperbob says. And it stinks.
This is gonna be a nightmare. I'm actually dreading 1/16.

I agree. That is if our shops even stay assigned to us after the 9th. When that "Ends" clock hits zero, I think we will all lose our assigned shops and have to wait for the "Cool Down" period. Just when I think things can't get any worse...they surprise me.
I asked about that other count down and was told to ignore it, that it means nothing. So we'll see.. and both my son and I will be signed in and ready to re-claim all of the shops he has claimed just in case.
