But i've done similar projects on another MSC, the one with initials FA, and that one was a pain in the butt. Mostly because it asked for dozens of pictures and pics can only be taken from their app, so i ended up standing at the counter for what seems like ages. I'm sure all the employees and other customers thought i had a mental problem.

I did all the locations here yesterday without even getting out of the car. They were all listed as shopping the "E" gas station, and none of the locations were gas stations/convenience stores; they were auto repair/tire/lube/car wash businesses. I marked them all "not at this address," took an exterior picture, and left. I'm sure 1/2 pay is the best I can hope for, but it was an easy $20 when I was already out and about.
If it had listed (for example) "Joe's Lube & Tune" as the business that was being shopped, I would have gone in. Each one of them listed "Exxon" as the business - with "beverages" logically meaning they're looking for a convenience store. One location had an Exxon-branded station next door - at a different address. One had an Exxon station down the street. The others didn't have an Exxon station anywhere close. "Not at this address" was an option, so that's what I went with. But I'll be curious to see how they handle these. Going inside and reporting that there weren't beverages could have gotten me the other 50% of the fee, or it could have gotten me 0 because I "didn't shop the correct business. The correct response should have been 'not at this address.'" It'd probably depend on which side of the bed the editor woke up on that morning.@Datagirl wrote:

Not saying you are wrong but i did these differently. I "shopped" them, chose cooler only as an option, listed in comments that it was a repair shop with vending machine in customer waiting room. Curious to see if i get paid full fee or not. Did a few closed locations for half pay but that was expected.

The horror story is the amount of work and photos, all covert, for just $10..
Oy. I'm having flashbacks to the beverage audits at drive-thrus, where you have to populate brands, prices, and sizes from the picture of the drive-thru menu board.@KokoBWare wrote:
So I did two of these at branches of a well-known convenience store chain. The survey has example photos of the types of fountains. In both locations, the soda dispensers most closely resembled the "crew serve" type of machine, so that's what I listed.
One report was accepted, no questions asked. An editor has returned the other one, telling me that if customers can serve themselves, I should put "self serve" (even though these fountains don't even slightly resemble the example photo).
Of course, they also want you to list the brands being served at these dispensers, and all my entries got wiped out, either by the editor or when I changed the pickbox to "self serve." So not only is it clear that the editors aren't on the same page, now I've got to go to the photo and try to reconstruct what the offerings are (these are double-wide dispensers too, with literally 16-20 offerings). FML.

Spoke too soon. I just got an email saying they weren't going to pay me for one because I failed to check in via Presto prior to performing the shop. That's funny because I could've sworn this was one where it wouldn't allow you to unlock the survey unless you checked in first. Can somebody verify if that's the case?
I've appealed it, but we all know how that goes. -rolls eyes-
