The outbacks were lunch only during a weekday. That is not useful to me. I wish TRH had a bigger reimbursement but my daughter and i have our ordering down pretty well. We have gotten to the place where only tip is out of pocket. Took us time to figure out how to stay in budget and still meet requirements.
Going early when they have the "early dine" specials helps. We go shortly after 3pm; there's less noise, fewer people, and cheaper prices. If one of us orders something pricey, the other orders something cheaper. We can come in under $50 or only slightly over.

My mother loved Outback, but I wasn't impressed. My food wasn't good, and then I had to spend two hours writing about it.

The couscous mac & cheese balls at BJ's were pretty good. Just waiting on those gift cards so I can go back.

A week ago, I used the gift card from my first BJ's shop to pay for the order in my second shop. Feels like a Ponzi scheme.

If that's what you do with it, it kind of is. Cash out and stop "rolling it over."

Imagine you're purchasing a BJ's gift card that's got a face value of $165, but you're only paying $39 for it. If you don't like BJ's, then you just shelled out $39 for nothing. But if you like BJ's and you'd be going there to eat regardless, then you got a pretty sweet deal.

I did two shops solo: a dining room lunch shop where I spent $23, and a bar shop where I spent $16. I can now take my entire family out to eat for what I spent on those two plates.

It's all in how you look at it. I wouldn't use the gift card value to pay for another mystery shop meal, though. I want to get the maximum value out of that $126, and that includes not having to write about my dinner.

There was one time my dad, my mom, and I went to the TRH at 11 when they first open up for the day (Non shop) and it was already loud in there.

I did not know Out Back had early dine..
Outback has great deal on Wednesday for a sirloin, beer or soft drink and sides for 13.99
I missed BJs again and didn’t get picked for STK but I did score a usually elusive Halal Guys location and I love their food.
I don't see any Outbacks but maybe I'm not signed up with that company. My computer crashed in October, so I lost a lot of bookmarks. I do see the usual Texas Roadhouse shops, but I mainly did the take out shops. I loved those and wish they would bring them back.
It has been a while since I have been to Out Back
Apparently, the BJ's shops have gotten even stingier - the fee is $4 now rather than $5.

Cheapskates.

The TRH came out last week. They are always taken days before an email goes out, so if I don't continually check their site the week before the end of the month I'm too late...again this month!
Can you order a lunch special for the entree requitement for BJs?

That's how I managed to eat on the cheap. If you're new to their rewards app when you sign up, they give you a free pizookie, and you can use that to fill the dessert requirement.

I signed up for one. It looks like an entree and drink for each person and dessert, so 2 drinks 2 entrees and a dessert. Wouldn't this cost like $50+? Even if you go for lunch?!? I think I'm already part of their rewards program.

Yeah, it can get pricey. But you get a $100 gc out of it so it's worth it if you can pay the bill with a GC from another BJ shop.

I went by myself for a dining room and a bar shop. For the dining room, I ordered off the $12 lunch menu plus a drink and a dessert. For the bar shop, I had an appetizer, drink, and dessert. I specifically went solo to maximize the value of those gift cards, which is what I'll use for when the family dines.

But now they require you to take a guest. Argh! Really eats into the GC amount.

Seriously? When I went, they preferred you take a guest, but it wasn't mandatory. Wankers!

Can anyone tell me if a tip is required for the BJ's takeout assignments? I see nothing about gratuities either way in the guidelines but know that the MSC can be...particular.

Doing assignments since the days when reports were handwritten and faxed to the MSC.

Tip for takeout is not mandatory.
The guidelines for the BJs shop contradict the form. The guidelines say 2 drinks and 2 entrees. On the form itself, it says entree and appetizer or dessert. Has anyone done the dine in recently since they added the guest? I don't know what the actual requirements are and the scheduler will not reply to my emails. Thanks.
I got an urgent email that said the guidelines had been updated to show 2 drinks and 2 entrees and to follow the guidelines. I love me some Pizookie, so I'll still get dessert, but it seems like 2 drinks and 2 entrees is all that is required.
