What is the largest fee you've ever received for a single shop?

Mine was a casino shop that was reimbursement only. Hit a $2500 jackpot and got to keep it.

I've always been intrigued by the casino shops. I wondered if they would let you keep a big payout. How much did the shop reimburse for gambling? A certain amount for slots and a separate amount for table games? Do they count your winnings against the amount you bet?

I got $200 to shop for a motorcycle. The shop did not go well, I think the person that got me walking in was a service person instead of a sales person and it was PAINFUL to get him to give me really any information. (I had a pretty good scenario, none of which he asked about) So awkward to keep asking questions. Although I did get paid, I was worried about it for a bit.

Totally depends on the MSC. Most of the ones I've seen you have to give it back. Although if I won something that high I probably would just abandon the shop lol

Way back in the day, I did some $100 or $150 (can't quite remember) cell phone shops on a snowy Christmas Eve, and it was with GBW who I barely ever shop for.
Reimbursement was 200. Another one I shop requires payback if you win over 500.

$200 gas station for maritz. got a lot of others with them in the 150 range. man i miss that company. one time i got $150 for an easy customer impact prepaid card job. that one was a complete fluke as i've never seen them posted for even remotely that much before or since.

If the shop was reimbursement only, then your shop fee was $0.00.

My biggest was $240 to evaluate Christmas trees at Lowe's in Eagle Pass, TX (a 600-mile round-trip drive.) Runner up was $200 to try on Rolex watches at a high-end jewelry store here locally. {No, they did not turn me into a customer! grinning smiley)

Edited to add: I just did a bank account opening shop for $210. I must have blocked that out because the report was a nightmare.

Yikes! That Lowe's was a big fee, but doesn't sound too profitable. I figure about $100 and the shop would take about 10 hours including driving and report time, so it ends up being less than minimum wage.

Unless maybe you were going to Eagle Pass anyway?
No, I hadn’t planned on going. It was profitable with some other things mixed in. It was great fun, and a good memory. smiling smiley

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown
Mine was $400 to do a home improvement store for a 425 mile round trip while on a route. I set the address in Google, which sent me through the back roads in the Ozarks. That was the scariest trip I have ever made. I'm a flatlander, where the biggest hills are the highway overpasses. I get vertigo just going up one of the spaghetti bowl ramps in the city. This trip was filled with curves that peaked on a hill where you could not see the other side, with a drop off to one side. My heart jumped to my throad at the top of every hill. Everyone else was going 65-70. I normally have a heavy foot, but I crawled on that trip. I pulled over ar at every little town to let the cars behind me pass. At one point a school bus full of kids pulled out in front of me, and I was relieved I could finally slow down a little. Nope. That school bus flew though those twisty roads faster than the other cars. I finally made it there alive. On the way back I made a point of sticking to highways, and realized the highway route was only five minutes longer, according to the GPS. While it was a scary drive, I did find it enjoyable to get a glimpse of how mountain folks live.

I did a McDonalds breakfast shop once for $200. It was 60 miles away, and it was freezing rain and sleet that day. Had to stop every 15 miles or so to de-ice!

One day when I came home for lunch the phone was ringing, and it was a scheduler who offered me $100 for an easy Taco Johns lunch shop. It was a nice profitable lunch break.

The best one that I have ever done is a bit of a "cheat," as it includes credit card rewards. Got paid $210 to sign up for a Cap One card, but the first charge on the card is the $95 annual fee, so that's a $115 net. Then after running $3K through the card they award you 50k in points. At $0.01/point, that's $500. Then after running $20K through the card they award another 50k in points. So that's $115 to sign up for the card and another $1000 in reward points. Greatest thing ever!

Just a tip for a better cheat - rather than running 20k through one card, sign up for a new one once you've hit the minimum spending. You can usually get 10+% return on spend through most issuers.
