ALERT! Phillips/Conoco/76 shoppers

Previous waves have had sticky notes for 7-11 locations with instructions to only evaluate the exterior conditions, with no store purchase required.

The current wave does not, and it made for an almost $10 negative swing on yesterday's loop.

My first stop was at a 7-11 that went exactly as planned, except I wasn't able to use the app on my phone for payment. Just as well, as I wind up using up the 24-hour allotment of purchases on most loops.

At my second stop, another 7-11, with no sticky note in SASSIE, I made a gas purchase for $5.01 (grrrrr) but then I nailed the dismount when my store purchase rang up at $4.99.

Then I went into SASSIE on my phone to do the report, only to find the only purchase requirement was for gas, and there were no interior evaluation questions.

BOOOOOOOO!!!

So, the new MO is to begin the report from my phone as soon as I pull up to a pump at a 7-11 and I can buy gas. Then I can figure out how the shop is going to pan out from there.

The MSC is my #1 by a long shot, but they continually find new ways to piss me off.

I buy gas last so I can maximize the reimbursement without going over. I often have to make an extra trip inside to get the gas receipt. I figure I don't need to be incognito for the gas purchase.
we buy $9 worth of gas, at all of them. and the least expensive thing we can find, or a bottle of ginger ale inside. It seems as if only the P66 stations have Schweppes or Seagram's ginger ale in single serve bottles or cans. Everywhere else sells Canada Dry. We don't go much over reimbursement any time, the ginger ale is usually with the cheaper sodas at right around the $1 mark.
"we buy $9 worth of gas at all of them"

Wouldn't work for me doing 8 or 9 (or more) stations a day.

One reason I love these shops is I can use the Fuel Forward app and purchase less than a gallon into an almost full tank, and directly receive the receipt which I screenshot into the report.

I then use my Verizon VISA which pays 4% back at gas stations for my in-store purchase, which is usually a couple of 5-Hour Energies.

I like the suggestion for buying gas after the purchase, even though that goes against the shop flow in the guidelines, for controlling the reimbursement.

With so many inconsistencies between printed (if there are tags) and system pricing in the store, I do wind up going over the $10 every now and then, but I only grumble slightly.

I don't mind consuming things I regularly consume while getting a super deep discount.

Cool,

we carry gas cans when we do any gas station that a fuel purchase is required. Always at least one. And if we're doing a long route of stations where we can buy more than 1 gallon we take extra gas cans. Here $9 is about 3 gallons. So we would take one can for 2 stations, and factor in how much gasoline is in the POS. Even just leaving the house, we have an empty gas can with us. Every time we top off the POS we fill a gas can too. And now that we have the jerry cans, my son won't conveniently forget to have a gas can with us because he doesn't like the fumes.
