Outback Dinner Shops

I just grabbed one of these. Does anyone know if children are permitted on this shop? The guidelines don't specifically state yes or no. It just says it is required to bring one adult guest. This could be interpreted to mean ONLY one adult guest. But usually guidelines specifically state no children permitted if that is the case. I really don't want to email the generic 'scheduler' for this company because it will be days before I get a response.

With the previous company, you could bring ONLY one adult guest. No additional guests or children. I would not bring a child.
The guidelines specifically say, “MUST BRING GUEST and NO CHILDREN”.
The old company did say "must bring only one adult guest and no children" but the new company just said bring one adult guest.

Maybe the guidelines previously stated this, but the ones in my assignment do not. They simply state, "Must bring one adult guest." But it sounds like it would be a huge risk to take children on this assignment so I will not be doing that.

Are you seeing these across the country or is this a particular franchisee of Outback that is posting their locations? Is this a company that uses Sassie? Shopmetrics? Something else?
Not sure if it's across the country. I do see two other locations within a 100 mile radius of me. Sassie
Re: New company for Outback - Haven't did a job for them in YEARS and YEARS although they are apparently the MSC giant. Will they allow you to order over and beyond? Thinking of going to with DH this weekend. If you can't order over and above, I will not be doing it as he is a PITA.
You can definitely order beyond the requirements at your own expense.
The one I got was for weekdays only. Which I guess works, I don't like leaving the house more than I need to anymore. And I have a bunch of shops to do tomorrow. So one trip out with a good meal afterward seems like a really good idea.

The ordering requirements are clear, you must order a steak entrée, and an appetizer or an alcoholic beverage. And if you bring a guest, your guest can order any meal they want. No matter what you and your guest order, you will only be reimbursed $75.

Sign up for the shop and read the guidelines yourself. Reading and interpreting guidelines is up to you if you want to do the job. I'm not going to do it for you. It's NOT the MSC that decides how they want the shop conducted. On shops that the client doesn't want you to go over reimbursement, or only wants you to order one item, or certain items, it will say so clearly in the guidelines.
@MJT5968 and you. Thank you so much. I totally understand the MSC does not decide and am able to read and understand guidelines. However, they know the rules and many times they do not state them up front i.e. divulging them before signing up for the shop. Enjoy your meal!

I don't see these anywhere. Can I buy a clue as to the MSC? Thanks so much!
It is the largest MSC. If you don't see them, they are probably already taken.
Well, I asked and amazingly heard back from the new MSC scheduling Outback Shops. The ordering requirements are 1 app OR 1 alcoholic drink OR 1 dessert; 2 entrees (one must be steak). My questions about ordering extra/above at my own expense was not answered. Instead they replied that they will only be reimbursing you for the required items. Not worth my time, but I thought this may be helpful to some of you. Instead, we are going to the Capital Grille tonight. I will have Chilean Sea Bass, my DDs will have their Chicken entrees and DH can have whatever steak and whatever else he wants to order.
Capital Grill was mystery shopped in the past. Are you going there yourself, or for a shop?
'Twas not shop. Wish it were. We paid (dearly) LOL!

We did the new MSC shop for OS, and I ordered a non-alcoholic drink plus dessert for the requirement. I did not get any feedback about the shop, but received a 9/10. Could the missing point be due to my getting lemonade? I have no idea.
The new one does not say that it requires any purchased drinks, but a description of the beverage is required so I ordered a beverage anyway. I doubt that's why you received a 9.
Sometimes you can bend the rules a bit in this game. As long as you have a child who acts like an adult it should be fine. If the child has ADD I wouldn’t recommend it.
I received a 9 for mine as well, with nothing but the standard cut-and-paste feedback response. As long as I get paid and reimbursed, they can keep the one point.

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown
I had been assigned a shop and then when I went to look at the requirements, it was not longer there.
