Geo tag location/ time/ date for photos

I'd appreciate some problem solving help with adding the location address, time & date to photos.
I have location turned on for tagging photos. I use a Samsung galaxy s21 and when i click the little 'info' button it shows me the time / date/ street address of where/ when the photo was taken.
I recently completed several of IPSOS electronic shops (first time doing these) and the editor stated my photos weren't tagged with this info. I emailed back attaching a screenshot of the photo uploaded into the report with the info showing and asked what I could possibly we doing wrong that she doesn't see that info. No reply.... I did a second little route of these and same thing from the editor, and I emailed the same thing. Again, no reply.
So, anyone here have any ideas on what is going wrong?

I have used the Timestamp Camera app on Samsung phones for years. It puts the information directly on the photo. Until last week, I used an S21 and have now upgraded to an S24. [There are several apps in the Play Store with similar names. The one I use is authored by Brian Di.]

Does this add the location as well. I'm being told that the location info is missing as well.

Yes, the location is shown as well. There are some options as to what will be shown, but the default is Date, Time, GPS Coordinates, and street address.

They want the time/locaion stamp visible in the photo, not in the meta data. I use an app called GPS Map Camera that I found in the Google Play Store. It's free, but there are lots of ads, just close the ads and it works great.
I use the In Timestamp Camera free app because it shows the address on the photo AND the longitude and latitude coordinates are in the metadata.

I use this app too. But I had one incident where I took pictures from opposite sides of the same parking lot. One showed the correct address, the other did not. So check the address to make sure it's correct.

Thank you. When the guidelines said they must be geo tagged I thought the Metadata was sufficient, and couldn't understand why the editor wasn't seeing it.
The instructions do state "Visible" in the first sentance under the heading "Enable photo geolocation."

Well Metadata is visible when you are looking at it from the editors end.
I think it is the terminology they are using. There is "tagged" and there is "stamped". What they want apparently is a Time Stamp but they are wording it wrong.
FYI - I too use the TimeStamp Camera - just an FYI . It tends to lag by a second or so and you can get blurry pics. Make sure you hold still until you see the image "blink" and it is locked in and saved. Made that mistake one too many times.
Yep. Sometimes it just shows a time and an "Index number" but the geo stuff is missing. Fortunately the other photos in the series have the info so I haven't been called on it yet.
I have a similar post with no responses. I've used Timestamp Camera before. But I also have a Samsung S21 and am having issues with geotagging. Usually it's with ISS. Some pictures upload fine whereas others for the same shop I will get a pop up that it's not geotagged. I obviously didn't change any settings during my shop and while taking pictures so I have no idea why it does that. ISS will also tell me sometimes that my location services is turned off when it is not. Luckily I've never been dinged on a shop for it because I usually hit the time stamp button at the start. I'm convinced though that it's the phone so I plan to upgrade to something that is not Samsung. I also can't stand that Samsung "updates" every 2 weeks and basically loads a bunch of game apps I don't want onto my phone.
ISS told me this weekend my receipt pictures weren't geotagged. I took them at home not at the client's location, so why would they need geo-tagged photos>

I did take pictures in the time-stamp app upon arrival and departure.

I always ignore the ISS geotag warning and never use the timestamp app for those pics since my shop guidelines don't require it. I haven't had issues getting shops approved.
Here's what I can't figure out about timestamp camera and selfies: when I flip the camera around to take a selfie with the store sign behind me, sometimes the store sign appears backward in the photo, and sometimes it's correct. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why this is. Anybody?

I have a Samsung galaxy as well and have the same problem. If I take a picture using one of the apps like the one you recommended, how do I upload it onto my report?
I have a SS Galaxy and this is what I do. I use the Auto Stamper app..free one from the PlayStore. Make sure you turn on the time, date and location in the app. Use your phone's camera to take the photo and it will go to the gallery. Wait until you get the message that the time stamp was added. Then you attach it to the report from your gallery. I found that I have to add "location" to the time stamp when I'm actually at the location, otherwise it adds the town I was in when I opened the "location." The time and date are automatic, but the location doesn't change unless I add or update it at the actual location. I've only done a handful of the Electronics shops and they've been approved with no problem. I use the Auto Stamper for other shops that require time and date. It's been easy. You have to wait for some ads to play but hey, it's free.

My best guess would be your internet / data connection is going in and out so it can't relay the geo information each time.
it just goes to your gallery like how you normally take pictures with your camera app
