Krogers pick up stay on site 10 minute requirement

The Kroger pick up directions say to spend 10 minutes on site. It says to pull away from the pick up area to check the bags to see if frozen food cold, chemicals packed separately. I usually do shops within a 10 minute radius of my home. I may pull away and check that everything is there but often do not as I am only a few minutes from home. Not sure why you would spend 10 minutes looking at 8 items. Do any of you do this?

No. I stay onsite ten minutes total, that's it. It's silly, really; the fuel shops ask you to make outside observations and only require you to spend five minutes. Why pick-up shops need to be ten is beyond me.

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown
I stay 10 minutes total only if I won't draw attention to myself. If the clerk arrives quickly with the order I may chat with the clerk but I don't linger with the clerk or in the pick up area to make it to 10 minutes. I check the order when I get home.
I stay 10 minutes at least because that's what the guidelines say to do. It's not a big deal because the only Kroger pick-up shops in my area are for competitors such as Walmart and Target. Parking in the right place, checking in, and waiting for an associate take up multiple minutes anyway.
How do you guys do pick up shops in less than 10 minutes? my start time is the time I park in the spot, I check in, wait for my groceries. Then after the associate goes back inside I check to see if I got everything I that I ordered. I think I've gotten maybe ONE done in less than 10 minutes ever. The end time is the time when I actually drive out of the pick up parking spot.
I think the 10 minute wait time is overkill, as I am usually finished in 4 or 5 minutes. I start my timing when I tap I'm here, and in my area, 90% of my pickups are delivered in one or two minutes. I leave the pickup spot and drive farther out in the parking lot to check my order to make sure it’s complete and everything is in date. I think the only time it’s taken more than 10 minutes is when it took 7 or more minutes to get my order delivered, and that’s only been a very few times. Most times I’m just sitting in the parking lot waiting 4 or 5 minutes for the 10 minutes to pass so I can leave.
I must live in a super fast delivery area. In 95% of Kroger store shops the person comes out without 2 minutes or less.I accept the order and look at the items. I do not make huge orders. Usually 9 items total. Most of the time I stand and watch as they place items in the trunk…things like towels and toilet paper, cat litter easy to see. Not sure why 10 minutes is required. Perhaps others are making huge orders. I seldom buy anything fragile or perishable so not checking for freshness. The only shops that have entailed longer times were competitors on weekends. One time took 25 minutes for clerk to come out, otherwise they are fast.
I find it odd that there is no listed time requirement for in store shops. If 10 minutes is required for a pick up shop, how long do they expect you to stay with all the inspections, noting of names, etc required for an in store shop? I usually am in store 20 to 30 minutes to complete.
My guess? The MSC figures it will take however long it takes to complete all the required tasks in-store. If a shopper reports an in-store shop only took 10 minutes, the MSC will probably contact the shopper for clarification.
I spend 10 minutes on site, but after my groceries are loaded, I pull out into another space in the parking lot to check everything.
i pull into the parking lot and find a space, and hang out for 3-4 minutes, looking around to observe the parking lot, etc and make a note on my phone with all the required questions.

then i move to the pickup area spaces and check-in, and wait for the associate to bring out the items. after loading my car, i move to another far away parking spot to check the items. i then fill out my note with all the necessary info and then leave.

when all is said and done, it’s a 9-10 minute visit.
Most of the time my groceries are out in less than two minutes. I avoid Sundays as much as possible because those tend to take much longer. The guidelines say to move away before checking. Honestly as long as I check for temperature and freshness/discoloration within 5 minutes, does it matter if I pulled out into a street parking spot or the next lot over, or even a 5-minute drive away? There are no other onsite observations to be made. I recall that we have been told not to take notes in our car where the store employees might see us.

I think it would be better if they revised the guidelines to say check your order within x minutes of delivery, rather than to specify 10 minutes on site, which increases the odds of "being caught".
I agree with he 10 minute rule being a bit foolish. I did a Kroger pick up today. I had a total of 9 items in the order. The guy came out a little over a minute after I said I was there. I had hit on my way and I suspect they are prepared as the app gave me an ETA which was spot on. Order placed in my trunk within a minute, after asking my name, placing and thanking. I had gotten out of the car to open my trunk as no way to open from inside. I could literally see every item I had ordered in the bags as he placed them down. I did pull to another part of the lot and counted to 9 items and then sat there a few minutes to honestly say I was there 10 minutes. The whole order was canned goods so no question as to freshness, temperature, etc. Just seems a bit foolish to me, but that is me, what can I say?

Earlier this week I completed a Walmart pickup, and I tapped I was on my way a few minutes before arriving. The guy was already standing outside in the pickup lanes waiting for me. Fastest pickup ever, and the total time from arrival to moving to another spot and checking my items was 3 minutes. I spent 7 minutes snacking on one of the food items I purchased smiling smiley
Did a Kroger pick up today. Took 5 minutes for guy to come out really unusually long. Greeted me, asked name, Loaded trunk, showed me item that was substit.thanked. At 6 minutes I drove off. Went to other end of lot. Took 2 minutes to check order. Sat in car 2 more minutes to make it 10 minutes then I went into store as I needed something I forgot. Was in store 5 minutes then drove the 1.5 miles to home.
May I know which company has these shops. I am in California and see too less shops now.
Sign up with a lot of companies and eventually you will get a notification. As fast as these fly off the boards, I doubt that anyone is going to give away that information.

Yes I doubt anyone wants to give company names to get competition for the shops!

We are not allowed to give the MSC name if the client's name has been given.
Unless the delivery of the order takes 10 minutes, I do not stay on site fir that amount of tine. Has never been an issue with the MSC.
