I may have imagined the following. It is not acceptable to complete an inside and a fuel in the same visit.
There were over 300 in my area for just the in store shops and it is already less than 100. They go real quick in my area.
It is acceptable to complete both an inside shop and a fuel visit. The system will not let a shopper complete a pick up at the same location on the same day with an inside or fuel shop.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

Not your imagination.
All three Kroger shops are ez-pz. I can do them in my head, which I usually do if I do not encounter an Associate in Produce first time. I go on to the other departments, evaluate them, return and during my 5 minute wait time, I perform the Produce evaluation. Then checkout.

HMMM... looks like the site did something..

It was just a glitch, had to sign in two more times before it worked. I got all of the shops I wanted.

I wish they didn't cut off the pickups a few days early. Really only two weeks to do them and I don't like the weekends. We had no competitors this month. Got what I wanted and we can't self assign more than 8 pickups.
Of course not. That was obviously wrong. Anyone who has been keeping track would have known that.

I took only one shop because that was the only one that made sense based on my other shops.

I also decided not to post a heads-up this month because of this thread.

Yes I wonder if they posted those misleading times intentionally, LOL.

Around here we have hundreds of locations, some are too far or the quality is poor, or you find someone else took your desired date first.

Bitter much?

I took zero. More for you.

Bitter? Not at all. Just pointing out the facts.

More for me? I took one when I could have taken many more.

I can’t take them.
#1 bad areas
#2 not interested in grouping cheap shops
#3 I guess some people need to do these. I’d just be doing them for “fun”.
Earlier, I inquired of the board concerning grouping an INSIDE & FUEL Kroger on the same visit. In that I received a YES & a NO, I mailed the scheduler for my area and just received a reply, as pasted below:

We can sometimes, if needed at the end of the month with tight dates.

This suggests to me the combo is not to be self-assigned. I am sending another letter requesting a clarification on that point. In addition, I will ask if her answer is specific to my area or across the country with Kroger.
Bob, you can self assign fuel with either inside shops or pick up shops at the same store, but you cannot self assign inside shops with pick up shops at the same store.

All of my inside shops are accompanied by fuel shops this round. Next time I'll pair them with pick up shops. Just for variety.
I think @Morledzep is correct on that @shopperbob. I always do these on a route since I don't have one in my town. To make it worthwhile, I have to be able o do fuel and an inside or pick-up shop. I also alternate as @Morledzep. I've done these early, middle and late month. I would have preferred a pick-up shop this round, but never saw them appear.
Pickup Program FAQ

NEW! Pickup shops may not be self-assigned on the same date as a Store shop at locations that offer both for protection of your anonymity as a mystery shopper. If you are interested in this shop combo due to traveling a distance out of area, please contact your scheduler.

The above was copied and pasted today from the MSC. This has been on the MSC website for several months. I have received at least two emails from the scheduler in prior months emphasizing what was back then part of the new changes regarding scheduling inside and pick-up shops at the same location the same day.

I know we have the ability to self assign both. However, according to the scriptures, aka guidelines and the overview, we should not. Apparently, right now the MSC is relaying upon the honor system. I expect that to change. Also, according to information previously released by the scheduler, they were supposed to be manually eliminating one or both of the inside and pick-up shops when someone scheduled both. That apparently had not happened yet.

Anyway, just that I would share. Meanwhile, I am following the rules.

I think you are confusing FUEL shops with In-Store and Pick up. You are correct in that you cannot (or aren't supposed to) assign yourself a pick-up and in-store on the same day. But, you can do a Kroger Fuel shop at the fuel center, then drive over and do your pick-up OR go inside the store for the in-store shop.
I thought the scheduling already prevents one person from self assigning an in-store and pickup on the same day. For the past few months, if I take a location for in store, then I pull up that same location for a pickup, the date I chose for the in store is not available. I have not attempted to schedule both for the same day, but from what I see, it's impossible to do so.

I just tried this, and you are correct.
@ Service.... not confused...OK.... I have not intentionally assigned myself a inside and pickup on the same day, but I have accidentally done it at least once. This happened a month or two ago. So at at least a month or two ago I was not prevented/blocked from self assigning both. And yes, I could have changed the date after I saw my error, but nope, I did not because it was only convenient for me to go this location that one time.

OK @ Service... maybe I am confused because I also remember reading somewhere that you could not do the fuel and inside at the same location on the same day too. I know I did, but I don't see it in the guidelines. It's probably in an old email I got, but I'm not looking for it. You probably remember reading about it in a thread because people were talking about how much that sucks because the employees who are locked up in that booth have no idea that you are shopping in the store. Anyway, until further notice, I am back to doing fuel and whatever else at the same location same day.

LOL. Thanks for the late night chuckle. I do remember the thread, now that you mention it. I never saw it in the guidelines, so maybe that was before I started doing them last year. I know the scheduler for my area has never said anything to me about it, and I know she knows I do it. Maybe it depends on the region? As I have thought about it more, I do not do the shops right after another on the same day. I do the fuel one at the start of my route, which will normally be in the morning, then pick-up or in-store as the last job, so I can buy cold things and not have to worry about them in the car all day. Maybe since I split them up on the same day, it has never been an issue?
So happy a fuel and in store can be done same day. There is a store with a gas station a bit farther than I usually like to go BUT with the gas station combined with the instore I took it. The station is so darn far away from the store that no one would know you were a shopper. PLUS the fuel at this station is usually 25 to 30 cents less than other Kroger fuel places so I fuel up while I am there. This is a great development
Not being able to do fuel and whatever store ones on the same day would be so ridiculously stupid.
I shop at Sam's Club weekly, and every time I go there for groceries (randomly pick up but mostly I like to wander around and see what's new, so I go in) I always get gas.
Real customers do that all the time, we should be able to as well.
Always a good idea to check with a scheduler if you are unsure about combining shops at the same location. There may be different rules in different regions. I tried after reading this to change a fuel store date, and can't self-assign a fuel and a pickup at the same store/same date.

For the record, I already knew that the information "helpfully" posted by BayShopper22 was wrong, as did most of us regular Kroger shoppers. I logged in when my own notes suggested postings might begin, and got a maximum of jobs. All were within my target shop radii, no undesirables. Some farther locations were already taken by other shoppers, but I still was able to get all of my closest locations ( I can almost figure out where the other regulars live by what disappears first, LOL).

Congrats. It was a guess. Sorry I was off by 30 minutes.
I can afford to buy groceries. I don’t depend on these. They used to have great bonuses. Now they have a bigger database. They go quickly.
The economy is a mess when people scramble for $9 shops. Even for $25 shops. It’s sad.
You know what is sad? Constantly looking down on others to boost your own ego.

You have posted before this thread to let other shoppers know that Kroger shops were beneath you.

If you only wanted to help, it would have been enough to post the date. It would also have been helpful to say you were guessing about the time.

If you truly believed that shoppers take these shops because they can't afford groceries, it was sad that you thought nothing of neutralizing a competitive advantage of those who gained that advantage by working to figure things out for themselves.

BTW, the MSC had posted Kroger shops before 10 am in previous months so your guess was not off by just 30 minutes.

To make things clear, I don't think there was anything wrong with OldmanJames's first post -- the one that started this thread. I did not respond to that post because I did not want to spoonfeed the answer to shoppers on a public forum. It's not fair to those who did the work, and anyone can do the same to gain the same advantage.

Here's a copy of the post I made:
Next Wednesday March 27, between 10:30 am and Noon Pacific Time.

You're welcome. smiling smiley

I'm not gate keeping $9 shops. It's not some special secret. The scheduler will tell you if you ask her. (That is my educated guess. I'm not going to text her this late at night.)

It hasn't been touched since 9:42 PM that night. It always said it was my guess. I also didn't text the scheduler to confirm. It's not that serious.
