This is a joke. Their steaks suck. They want top dollar for food that lacks any kind of quality.
2.2% increase isn't that bad thankfully. It looks like it's across the board instead of selected items.
They are already too high for their food quality, IMO.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
If the MSC bumps the reimbursement, which I doubt, this would be a non-issue.
I stopped into the Roadhouse for my customary small steak; it was tasty but only warm. My fries were hot but greasy and my salad had white grapes instead of cherry tomatoes. I do not know the price, as my dinner received a Veteran's comp. It was the least enjoyable meal I have any recollection of ever eating at TRH.
I love their bread and their butter.

Did the MSC raised the reimbursement last year to $ 50 for the dine in?

Yes they did. But I believe 2 of the price increases have come after that increase.

And before the increase, it was almost impossible to stay under reimbursement.

The problem is most people on the board doing the shops, if I'm recalling old threads correctly, enjoy eating there. So if they go over reimbursement, it really hasn't been an issue. It seems most shoppers look at it more of a discounted meal if that's the case because the report is pretty easy.
Thank you for your service SB!

We love the Texas Roadhouse shops and I will gladly take them for the $50 reimbursement. We try to go before 5:30pm on a weekday and purchase from the $11.99 menu. We always have leftovers and my teenagers will ask for extra bread and butter to go. Bubbas 33 and Texas Roadhouse are shopped in my area, but not Jaggers. I wish Jaggers was.
There was one time last year that the wife and I went and we we were under the $ 50 reimbursement.
I normally order the filet salad and my husband usually orders a steak. We don't normally get in under the 50 but we get close and I see it as a $50 discount for a fairly easy report at a restaurant we enjoy anyway. Our restaurant is close, service is generally good and the food is always pretty tasty.

My daughter and I go to TRH for a nice meal. I can't eat all of the food given for a meal so we share an appetizer, we split the sides and we share a large rib eye. We take bread to go. I usually pay about 20 out of pocket and I think that is well worth it.

As far as price increases, everyone has been raising prices so I am no surprised at all.
Madetoshop, thank you for your acknowledgement. I was fortunate in that I reaped numerous benefits from my time in the Navy. When encountering a young person who is unsure of the direction for their life, I always mention the military.
I took my mother to Roadhouse yesterday. She had the 6oz filet for $21.99, and I had the 3-piece catfish for $11.99. [It's not listed on the early dine menu, but the 3-piece (not the 4) is part of that promotion.] With one soft drink, tax, and a 20% tip, we came in at $48.02. She gets what she likes, I get what I like, and even with the price hike, we still come in under $50. If they raise prices again, though, she'll have to choose a different entree.

Edited to add: You get more food for less money at Roadhouse. We went to Outback on Sunday; the same steak there was $25.99. With the ordering requirements and not being allowed to go until 5pm or later, we went over the $70 reimbursement by $4 and some change. The pork chops were good, though.

Air Force here. Two of my daughters were in DC last week; one on business..Air Force event was happening and invites extended to family. They went and were impressed even more so. They will treasure their helicopter pictures forever. My neighbor's 2 sons are in the Marines and doing very, very well. I have their pictures with all their regalia. So proud of my family and all military.

Have one scheduled for tomorrow. We're going early to order off the early dine menu. Had an Outback shop last week and went over the $70 like Dr Doggie did. Prices are getting ridiculous everywhere. Stopped at DQ tonight (not a shop) and got a peanut buster parfait: $6.39! They had been $5.00 within the past year and were $3.29 pre-COVID.

anyone interested in hinting the outback company? I live in MT and we have about 2 in the state. lol.
I do the Belly up to the bar shops. I have to work to use the full reimbursement. I've noticed that the Bubbas part has dropped special days from the menu the last time I went.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

nellybean, it's the big "eye."

We're getting a Bubba's here. I've never been to one, but I'm happy to have another place to eat for (hopefully) free.

neelybean, you are too SMART to ask that question.
haha im really going to have to think about this one.
anyone know why it would say "this shop not available" for TR when I try to self assign a date? The instructions say it has to be more than 45 days and its def been that. I hope I'm not blocked from these! Plus I know the scheduler doesn't like to be asked.
Don't forget to ask for the AARP discount at Outback.

multiple shops at each location and another shopper scheduled for that date or close to it and so many days in-between shops.
I love me some Texas Roadhouse.

Chili is legit Texas-style, as I was raised on, i.e. no beans. I go with Road Kill as I like my meat RARE and I can get it that way because they grind it onsite.

Last visit was Dining Room for $50 reimbursemen, but I still wound up at one of the booths in the bar area. I came pretty close as a single diner of using the full reimbursement.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
I got banned from them because I asked the bartender to take a picture of me and my food. LOL I never went back there again. Their food use to be great, but the quality has really dropped. On the report they do ask about a description of yourself so they can spot you. So now it's not really a mystery of who your are.

How did they find out about you having a picture taken? There is no requirement to upload a photo on that report.
Also, the report does not ask you for a self description....your MSC profile might have one, but not the report.
I wonder if you are thinking of a different steak house chain? This doesn't sound like the TR shops.
