Pizza Hut Shop Rejected

I was trying to think ahead of the game and wrote the store and date on a piece of paper before I went to pick it up. Didnt think it was that big of deal. The paper was the size and place where i would have written it on the box. All photos and everything were all there. Seems like such a minor thing. Well i guess it was major enough to reject my whole shop. First rejected shop Ive received this year out of 100's so im a little bugged about it.

Also whats up with the thumb picture?

Frustrating.

I had a Burger King shop rejected last week. I forget to ask for a change on my burger.
I was so focused on getting to the car, taking photos unwrapping, taking temperature before 3 minutes I couldn't think of anything else.
I'm not doing those again!

Better than that...i wrote the stupid sassie shop number instead of the pizza hut location number on my pizza box. They still rejected it. it was lame, but I did mess it up. So it was my fault. I still think they could have explained and accepted the report. But whatever.

As far the as the BK shops I have seen...they want way too much info for such crap pay. I'll take a 5g shop at BASE PAY before I do a BK shop. BK is not even human food :-P

Unfortunately, it has to be written on the box. This is for at least two reasons. First, it serves as a type of quality control to ensure you are reading the guidelines carefully. Second, people have been known to use prior photos or to digitally alter pictures, which is getting easier and easier to do. If you know what to do, it is even possible to create a pizza that never existed.

The MSC even rotates what information they want you to write on the box, so it is always important to read the guidelines and the shop report every time you do this shop to ensure what you write on the box is what they want for that shop. Don't assume it will be what they wanted last round.

As far as the thumb photo, it is to gauge crust size. Pizza Hut has a crust thickness scale that varies depending on what type of pizza you order (e.g. hand-tossed vs. pan vs. thin).

I guess that makes sense when you explain it like that. Understanding the 'why' helps. I've done a dozen or so of these shops and do always write on the box. This is the first one i wrote on the paper. Lesson learned.

PH isnt my favorite but the family likes it and the reports are so easy.

My son thought the thumb photo was an AI check or something.

Well...They are the one who's paying, so it's really about them not you in the end of the day unfortunately.
I almost did the same thing! I used to write the info on a piece of paper for the Papa Johns shop back in the day. I caught it when I read the directions to write on the box. I have only picked up one of the Pizza Hut shops. Their pizzas are not my favorite and it would stink to not get reimbursed.
well, I'm sorry you didn't get paid. I've made more than my fair share of similar mistakes. But if it's any consolation, you can have ALL of the pizza hut shops, I'm not going buy or eat a pizza with mushrooms on it.

The forum rule is we do not reveal Mystery Shopping Company clients. We agree to that when we sign up with most companies.

I'm in Alberta. It's usually the same company but not necessarily.

@gigishopper
I always wrote on a paper for Papa John's. Guess I was just lucky. I should have thought to write on the box. I always had to stop somewhere to do the photo outside and wind was moving the paper. I had to remember to bring tape.

The funny thing is that an example photo for the Pizza Hut shops has the location and date written on a piece of paper, although the guidelines do state to write it on the box.

Just pick them off....
I had one rejected and one accepted when I used a piece of paper to write information. Such is life.

yer funny.. I don't like the taste or the texture of mushrooms. I can still taste them if I pick them off.
I have done 2 of the Pizza Hut shops through the app and received a 2nd pizza free ( you can order any topping.)
I forgot the thumb photo on one. Rather than submit it (instructions said it MAY be rejected), I did not complete the shop and emailed Nikki. Got the as reviewed her response from her. Picked the shop up two days later and did it correctly.

Unfortunately, not all locations honor the coupon. I got one that I tried to redeem at my home Pizza Hut, and they wouldn't accept it.

I placed my orders through the app. My free pizza showed up as a "message" and then was deducted when I placed the order. It was a bit hard to figure out, I will admit.
