What's a shop you are manifesting?

Obviously, we are all noticing a lack of proper base rates for shops and a downward trend. Times are tough, gas is costly, and living costs are only on the rise.

Ignoring that, I'd love to hear about people's dream shops!

Here's mine:

High tea service
Teeth whitening
Acupuncture
Car wrapping
Haircut
Manicure (I've seen this shop a few times, but never gotten it)
Wigs
Vocal training
Sky diving
Boat rental
Sports car rental
Scuba diving

I also really miss shops for this vegan fast food joint I love similar to the name Vegetable Grill; I haven't seen it in months.

I've done high tea service a few times as a shop. Sometimes as part of a hotel evaluation and a few times on it's own...

And I do remember a resort shop a years ago that required a licensed diver to do a scuba evaluation, but I could never make that fit my schedule.

My dream shops these days are ones that provide me a membership or status that needs to be tested:

-Top membership tier with any hotel brand
-Top membership tier with any airline
-Top membership tier at a casino
Okay, I'll also take a boat rental and status at an airline or hotel, I think preferably Marriott right now.

Creating my own list...
-high end grocery store/fish monger/specialty store with a high reimbursement
-maybe something like a time share or Airbnb or house swap that would allow for a week and up to a month of reimbursed lodging
-high end sushi restaurants, maybe Nobu with a stay at their ryokan
-luxury shops with purchase reimbursed
-appliance shop with purchase reimbursed
-NFL games reimbursed with some kind of easy shop like a lounge
-boat ride shops like harbor cruises, brunch cruises, whale watching, dolphin watching, etc
-car maintenance or tires reimbursed
-streaming service reimbursed
-ooh, how about medical services like doctor visits and lab work

Okay, and if something wants to pay my mortgage or property taxes I'd take that too! I think I'm trying to figure out something to cover all of my necessary (and non necessary) expenses.
Be careful what you wish for. Years ago when my son was still a young teen I took him on a (Indoor) Sky diving shop. They put you in a tank with compressed air or something simulating sky diving. That blossomed into him doing real sky diving when he became a young adult . During that time period there were several sky diving accidents reported in the news. I was so nervous every time he went!

Anyway Olympia, let me know when you have convinced a msc to do those. I love your list.

I have more modest wants...
Restaurants that are not sea and turf places. I like the one off places and would love Indian, or Thai, or Ethiopian food or lots of other cuisines.
Postal shops that reimburse fully to zone 8 plus a fee
An auto body repair shop with reimbursement
A shop for one of those Handyman services places that reimburse even smaller jobs
House cleaning service reimbursed
More middle of the price range sit down dining shops not requiring a guest
Haircuts (used to do those long ago)
Uber type shops
Shops where the pay including all time spent on it including reasonable travel is at least minimum wage
Shops that reimburse parking where parking fees are necessary

Very nice list - anything practical would be great for me.

Definitely would love more restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, boba shops, ice cream, shave ice etc., just about anything edible would be great.

You already work for the MSC that offers (or offered) this one. My very last shop before the COVID lockdown was a stay at a Nobu property that included dinner.

We can al work on manifesting the return of that client. The out of the country locations had a decent travel reimbursement too....
Nobu is shopped. Indoor skydiving is/ was shopped. I used to do local haircuts. Haven’t seen them in ages. I haven’t seen high tea since pre covid. Harbor cruises have been a thing within the last 6 months.
I’d love:
Car rentals
Long term stay rentals
Haircuts and manicures and massages (to come back)
Concerts
Museums
Flights
Less grocery shops with higher reimbursements lol

Years ago I used to do the long term rental hotels but they reimbursed for one night only. it was fine with me as there was only a small fee for my dog that they covered and we could hop from location to the next location with just a one hours drive down the coast. And they had a kitchenette with fridge and real cooktop/oven so we did not have to spend money on restaurant food every night and/or do another report. Those reports were easy.

Awesome, I was just looking at the property in Marrakech and that made me think of it!

I'm not sure why I'm manifesting it when I think I just want the sushi. And maybe also a drink - they do have some tasty cocktails! Someday I'll do a hotel. Just not quite yet!

I usually only peruse my geographic area and then sometimes places where I have travel plans. I guess I need to go ahead and read the list of 1k jobs sometime to get a better feel!

I used to see Peeeettt's Coffee shops, but have not in months. I would love to see V erve Coffee here in LA get shopped. They are my favorite.

I just did a massage shop a couple of days ago. It was a little odd...the massage therapist kept coughing and breathing heavily. He also kept trying to talk to me when I signed up for "let me initiate" for conversations.

There's a car maintenance one nearby me right now....I'd have to look it up to find which MSC, but I passed because I hate the dealership and only go there for warranty work. It was $20 pay and $60 reimbursement. Not a ton, but still something.

That’s cool. I’d be happy with a discount if I needed a repair. Although I might be picky about where I took the car.

Grocery delivery shops. There was a study done for it. But I'm hoping this is the next step for Kroger.

Kroger is buying out safeway/albertsons/vons and all its other names company so things may soon change with grocery shops for those stores. Krogers attention might be elsewhere to do the merger or possibly they may want to send mystery shoppers out to the newly acquired safeway stores to make sure the standards are met for Kroger.
Okie, HEB did delivery shops as a trial last year. I picked up two of them (one for home, one while I was in Austin), but I haven't seen them again since.

Mine is simple: a cruise.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
My favorite shop was at a hotel with dinner, breakfast, and a coffee shop. It was not Coyle, so it was fairly easy. I enjoyed the $350 reimbursement since I am much more extravagant with MSC money than my own. This was a few years ago and would likely cost $450+ now for the same thing.

I would love another one like that.
ok, I'll play..

I'd like restaurant shops that pay in addition to reimbursement that covers the required purchase. For a while Mellow Mushroom did that, but not the current round. I'd like jobs in air conditioned buildings that pay $50+ for an hour or less effort (I know, dream on.. ).

I'd like grocery shops like the ones I used to do at the Mexican grocery stores in CA that paid $20 or more that only required you purchase something, anything, and get a receipt. Or like the ones I saw that were taken from me after they were assigned to me, where I had to buy things in 3 or 4 different departments that paid $10, plus had an up to $70 reimbursement.

Ooh, some of those sound nice. It seems like there were better shops in the field before for sure. Although the part about jobs being taken from you does not sound too nice!
Olympia, I think I dodged a bullet with that company. They deactivated me after my first shop for something that was completely out of my control. The mistake I made was defending myself because I followed their guidelines exactly as written.

That sounds awful. I haven't had too many terrible experiences but it does seem like some companies tend to prey on ICs. It's difficult when you have few protections. Glad you didn't get burned any worse than that by that company.
