Job on a board but dates not available on calendar

Hi there! There are a couple of jobs on a company's board and I'm eligible to self-assign. But they don't show up this month or next month either when I change to 2025. I emailed a scheduler for the company that had sent me previous shops but received no reply. Any ideas how I can get the company's attention since I'd like to take one of these shops? Thanks!

Did you go in the last X number of days to the same location? The location will still show up for you but you won't be able to assign yourself until it's been 30, 60, etc days since the last visit. I've also seen a few cases where the shop is tentatively accounted for but they still keep it listed for everyone instead of removing it. In the case of a homestyle restaurant shop in the last month or two they said something about opening up those dates after 10 days. I wonder if you are perhaps asking about an Italian restaurant shop available on an MSC that "I shop for". I've noticed a listing there that hasn't been removed even though no dates are available to choose right now.

I know what shop is being discussed. It has nothing to do with eligibility. These shops have not been done in quite some time. It was scheduler error when posted or "on purpose" to not allow people to assign it yet. One of the two things.
Sounds like you're out of rotation. If you're eligible to self-assign the shop, and there are no dates available for you to choose, it usually means you've been to that location recently and aren't currently eligible to return.
It has nothing to do with rotation or eligibility. These have not been shopped in about 1 year. It's back now. I think it's more of a "placeholder." I remember doing them in January and February of 2024. Then they went away. It's almost like a special project done each year.

The ones in SoCal and Arizona have all disappeared within the last hour.

I've encountered the same thing in the past seemingly without an explanation.

I had it recently with on MSC and it seemed that none of the jobs of that category had any dates available. For that example, there may have been some kind of error and all the dates became available about an hour later.

I think I have also encountered something like ghost listings where there just doesn't seem to be a job available. Like maybe they forgot to pull the job, or maybe like the example given that they have reached a quota.

If it's something you really want, just keep checking back and see if it happens to pop up. If it was an error on the company side you might not see it again. Frustrating but keep looking.
I believe it is just as @hbbigdaddy stated, if it is the same shop I have been watching. They had the dates wrong in my area. The parameter of dates did not match the actual days they wanted the restaurant shopped. I then saw they adjusted that on one that was far away from me. But the ones that were close to me either disappeared or did not have the dates fixed. And yes, it has nothing to do with eligibility in my case. I have not done them in a year, at least, and I have never been banned or restricted or had a low score.
If it is a company that uses SASSIE, it is generally due to rotation (that includes someone else shopping it too recently for it to be shopped again). Rotation isn't always set by when a particular shopper completed it last. It can also be that the location itself has a rotation. So if that location has a 365 day rotation and was shopped at the end of last January, it may not allow anyone to pick it up until February.

If you are disqualified from the project, have too low of a rating for self-assign, etc, it will still allow you to apply but when a scheduler looks at it there will be a "D" (DQ) or "I" (Inactive) in the box we have to check when we choose who we're assigning.

Only other reason I can think of where the dates would be grayed out completely is if the due date is set back to a date that has already passed.

Edited to add that demographics can very well be the reason as well.

All these posts about eligibility and rotation are nice, but that is not the case. Enough people were having the same issues regardless of location selected. Many of you might know the shop now as it was reposted today and an email was sent (this time) and they were self-assign and scheduled. But they were on the board yesterday with NO dates. Then around midnight (pacific time), most of the shops from multiple projects went off the board to come back on today with higher bonus amounts. This MSC routinely will pull shops off the board and repost later in the same day with a change or even the next day.

In that case, if the company uses SASSIE, the due dates were set to a date that has already passed if all the dates were grayed out. I set up sessions all the time on SASSIE. The only two reasons for all the dates to be grayed out of shops appearing on the job board is if the due date is in the past, or rotation is an issue. You can't post jobs to a SASSIE job board with no dates at all. The system makes you set a due date.

Hbbd, how do you know which job the OP is talking about without specifics?

Others have experienced this phenomenon and Pete was nice enough to explain it from the scheduler’s side. Obviously we’re not all talking about the same job.
I'm really confident it was the same one. It was a shop done early 2024 and just came back around again. There were no dates on the calendar for selecting Sunday. All of a sudden they are removed, then an email comes today and people snatched them up. No email on those shops prior to today.

I'm not saying KSSPete was incorrect. However, his experience was not correct for this particular shop.

I believe the OP did not want to put the shop down because the OP did not want to alert the entire shopping community of a shop they wanted to get before others even knew about it. That is also why I did not state the name. Doesn't matter now since an email was sent Monday with the shops and dates.
I've seen this when there is a certain quota that is already met - I.E., 2000 shops need to be done, once they're filled, the dates are grayed out.
Lately I have seen this with shops posted on both Sassie and ISS, where the shop appears to have been taken in ISS but still shows up on Sassie.
