Have you seen the mystery shopper that is all over social media posting her actual shops?
I have seen her claim that she has a list of over 100 companies. I wonder if that would be considered a valid reason to dispute the charge on your credit card. Of the 64 MSC, have you determined how many have shops in your area?

Definitely try this. If she is saying 100 companies and there were not 100, that could be reason enough for a dispute. Anything she is claiming that is not 100% true should be a reason. Take screenshots, do a little digging, fight and get that money back. Everyone here will help you with your questions for FREE!! Good luck.

Porlatte, I have been continually selling on e-Bay since 2003. I can state most absolutely, that every card company of which I am aware, bend over backward for their clientele. All with whom I have dealt, extend 180 days to dispute.

You have nothing to lose by initiating a charge back with your credit card company. Suppose she gets mad and bans you? More ammunition for your side of the dispute: "furthermore, she has banned me, thus denying me access to the resources she contracted to supply to me."
People on this Forum have commented that after they posted on Facebook (?) that she banned them. In your situation, it might be good to be banned ==> denial of contracted services.

I have also sold on eBay since 2003! I was going to add that if she paid with PayPal, she is almost assured a chargeback.

I sell very little nowadays, but sometimes find a gem to list.

Daddy, I use e-Bay strictly to liquidate stock that was not moving out of my store. This month, I have sold 21 items. I can not envision any circumstances whereby I would either purchase goods to sell nor list my personal collections.
My eBay heyday was early-mid 2000’s with very gently used boutique children’s clothing. Those days are long gone.

Scroll back up to what Datagirl posted. If the scammer is verbally claiming she has 100 companies on her list and there are only 70, she lied about what you'd get for your money. That is fraud and worthy of the chargeback. Film/save clips of her saying the things that are untrue to use and present if needed to get your payment card money back.
Not sure what you mean about losing your bank account. That makes so sense as stated. But you will have lost a good chunk of the money in it if you do not pursue a refund.
If you read other posts throughout the forums you will also find some very sage financial advice. Not paying to mystery shop is one but there's much, much more.

You have to determine if you feel like you are getting the service that you paid in advance for. The only service that I pay in full for a discount is my car insurance and even with that, I can cancel (switch companies) at any time. Does she have a no refund policy? Are you able to cancel? Any legitimate company would allow you to cancel service and receive a pro rated refund. Check the fine print on any agreement you signed.

I found it linked on a reddit post. I did a google search for a mystery shopping company and a reddit post was in the results. From there I found out about the r/mysteryshopping. That is where the post linking to here was.

Is there anywhere in print where she offers a money back guarantee? I know it's a stretch and she probably doesn't because everyone would be requesting a refund after they realized what she offered was not worth the money.

She also has them agree to her Terms of Service, which someone else referred to a few pages back. Just be careful @Porlatte, that you are not violating those if you want to seek a chargeback or other compensation means. As it has been, she may be reading your posts here and trying to discern who you are.
