Lidl Clarification

For those that do Lidls, I have a question. How do you take your regular checkout lane phot0? These editors are going to make me bonkers!! I was told I needed a wide angle photo to show all of the end cap displays in front of the checkout lanes and that is what they are looking for. That is what I have been doing for the past 2 years when doing these. Now, all of the sudden, an editor from wordsmith pros keeps asking me for register photos.

The guidelines say Guidelines: Take a wide-angled photo of the check-out area used to check-out. "Include as many registers as possible." The registers never show up in the pictures because they are set pretty far back. So now I am getting them kicked back to me because there are no registers in the pictures. The self checkout will have registers in it but not regular checkout.

I emailed the editor and told her, to include a register is NOT possible. She approved it but with a nasty comment about the registers.

Meanwhile, I did a shop the day before with pretty much the same picture and she approved it without question. There were no registers in that picture either!

I need Judith and only Judith to review my shops! This Doreen person from wordsmith is a thorn in my side!

Thank you. I am going to forward that clarification email to Judith and just ask her to clarify what is correct to both me and Doreen because I was so frustrated, I was about to stop doing these shops!

I got my first Lidl rejection based on the register picture I entered. I had a self checkout shop and took a picture that showed all such registers.
I was told I needed a long shot off ALL registers.
I’m so confused after doing these shops from the beginning.

If you used the self checkout, than you should have taken a pic of the self checkout area. You were correct. They should not have rejected the job but at least given you a chance to make any correction, or in this case, an objection to their request.

I have emailed my scheduler and politely told her that the editors need to have a training so they are all on the same page. It is very frustrating.
This is interesting. The one Lidl that I shop regularly, I take a photo of the checkout area from the edge of the produce section. My angle shows all the register end caps but only one or two registers. I've never had a problem.

It's a small-ish Lidl with four staff checkout lanes and no self-checkout. Due to obstructions, there is absolutely no way to take a photo that will include all registers on the pre-purchase side of the store. I'd have to wait until I finished the buy, and then I might be able to do it on the post-purchase side, but I've never been confronted about my standard photo angle.

I did run into another issue on my last shop, though. The previous round at this location had been a "Bob" round, which I won't do because it permanently outs the shopper. On that round, the "More" and "Self-assign" pages on the MSC's website clearly showed in red type, "BOB LOCATION," so I passed.

Well, on this round, that warning wasn't there, so I signed up. It wasn't until I got into the questionnaire (which I couldn't preview because stupidly, the full questionnaire doesn't open up until you answer "yes" to "did you successfully complete the shop?" ), that I saw "did the cashier see the Bob certificate?" I answered "no" because, well, a cashier can't see something that's not there.

I was challenged on this, the editor noting that my cart photo didn't have a Bob certificate and asking for a photo with Bob in it. I explained the situation as I've explained it here, and the shop was approved, so all's well that ends well on that, but ... I don't know if it's a Wordsmith Pros issue or a Lidl issue or a combo of both, but there definitely seem to be a lot of screw-ups in the system right now where Lidl is concerned.
