Credit Monitoring Shops

Has anyone done one of the Credit Monitoring Shops? You have to sign up for 6 different credit monitoring companies and pay out of pocket (quite a lot). I'd love to know what you thought of it if you did it.

jp, I have no knowledge of the type shop you mentioned, BUT, I do have a suggestion. Rather than to front, as you typed "quite a lot," give consideration to a well established and excellent paying MSC. Curinos, AKA Informa, last week deposited $150 into my account for a job I completed in Jan. My total time was approx. 56 mins., using my computer to obtain loan rates. They also have shops for folks employing an iPhone..
I haven't heard of these either and it kind of sounds scammy. Is it with a reputable MSC that is discussed here?

I also just did a job for Curinos. $150 for about an hour of my time was well worth it. Their detailed guidelines and instructions are spot on. Scheduler extended time for me because I had an issue with an account. Superior!!!
I’m doing one of those shops now and it is a reputable company and I’ve done one in the past and they pay quickly.
For those of you reading this thread that do iPhone shops for this company I am wondering whether they use the phone/messaging function which requires a data plan (I think) or if I could just use a friends older iPhone (how old would work?) and my home wifi to do the shop?
sandyf I think you have to sign up with 6 different credit monitoring agencies on the phone so you would need to be able to access the websites on your phone and you have to cut and paste from the screens online to the survey. Could be wrong though.
