Hotel shop that assigned platinum loyalty status

Before the pandemic I used to complete many overnight assignments for a company that assessed how a major hotel brand treated their platinum level loyalty club members.

Since then I haven't been able to figure out if that hotel is still being shopped and, if so, who shops them.

Does anyone know the answer to this mystery? Would you be willing to share info with me?

I haven't seen them since the pandemic. I have seen the brand shopped at other companies, but they were probably franchises. I haven't heard much from the original company. Are they still in business?

What's the name of the hotel?

I recall it being the Marriot loyalty program, which is now called Bonvoy.

I used to do these Marriott shops also. I have not seen them in at least 5 years.

I've just started seeing membersrshup rewarards ads on TV. Maybe mystery shops will be coming back next?

The program transitioned to being only used by the select hotels who wanted to continue. I believe there are about...three (?) which selected to continue the program. One is in Arizona, the other South Carolina, and I haven't figured out where the others are. They are still being offered by the same MC it's just super limited.

Any hints on the MSC? I already have bonvoy elite status, just curious.

I don't think these shops have been done for years. I have had high status for about 15 years. I am now Platinum for Life.

During and after the pandemic the amount of hotel shops decreased significantly. Only a small fraction of hotel shops have returned.
