Super frustrating K grocery store drops

Kroger shops dropped. No competitor shops listed yet.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

I did not experience any hitches today; the site flowed like water that is not dammed.
That was the easiest it's ever been to get my Kroger shops.. I'm not complaining. I got all of the shops I wanted with almost no pain at all.

No competitor shops or pick-up shops until further notice is what I was told.
I’m hoping they’re working on their website and that is the hold on pick ups. It’s literally ridiculous.
In my area, all of the shops are available to be taken if you really want them. However, on a flip note, by the end of the day, they're still gone.
Self check go fast. The full serve considering the sometimes long wait for full serve plus the additional description of bagger makes them less desirable.

Bob absolutely agrees--The only cashier store I regularly shop has five registers and no self scan. Any time there is a line, if there are any closed lanes they are quickly opened. There are stores I will not assign if only full service is available.
No problems this month. We've discussed that pickups and gas stations are gone until next year for most of us. I also didn't see competitors this month. I won't travel very far, mostly 2 to 5 miles, a few "Fresh Fare" within 9 miles. People are still taking them. Although the reimbursement barely covers a dozen eggs here!
Why on some of the locations you have to email the scheduler and some I can self assign? There are several that are close to me I have to email if I want them, then there are 3 more that are less than 10 miles that I can self assign. Is there a difference in those shops that you have to email?
It's because you've taken that location too many times and they have to override the system. Sometimes they don't want to override the system because they would really like for you to pick a different location.
Kroger drops went well. Was able to assign quickly. I wonder if reason for this was system improvement by shop company or less shoppers signing on due to lack of fuel, pick up and competitor shops or a combo of both factors. I am less likely to travel to stores outside my usual area given the lack of the pick ups and fuels. Not worth running my tail off for in store shops which I do not love, if I am not allowed to schedule the stores closest to my home I will not bother. I dislike the added deli portion and refuse to take full serves as I am not going to stand in line behind people with full carts to purchase 3 items.

I'm seeing this for locations I've never shopped before. I wonder if it's because I already chose another location close by (within X number of miles).
I see the same. It’s areas I have never shopped. I also skip them and just do the ones I can self assign.
A thought crossed my mind this afternoon. In early 2013, Kroger dropped their shopper program. In Aug. of 1014, though, it returned and has continually run with 2 MSCs since that date. I do not recall ever reading an explanation as to the reason for that approx.18 mo. suspension. Perhaps their discontinuance of the fuel, pick-up and/or competitor work is similar to that action.
They are going through some drama with Albertsons and multi million dollar law suits. That may or may not be the reason.
The deal with Albertsons really screwed them. Not only was they forced to sell off some Mariano's locations for the Albertsons deal to go through and then that collapsed as well.
jp/piebaby, sometimes you just have to wait a few seconds and the option to self-assign will appear.
You could always ask your scheduler why some locations are not available for self-assign. If you are a shopper in good standing and have not ever shopped a location, it should be self-assign.

I was going to say the same thing. There is some kind of eligibility check the site does that sometimes hangs up and then suddenly it works. You'll get this toward the end of the year on locations you have visited too many times but I think at this point, it's just lag.

This drop had none of my regular stores. It was odd.
A store here that is usually last to be claimed and never seems to clean anything has a ton of shops this time. I wonder if that's indicative of anything? I went recently and saw two employees who should have been gathering carts just standing in front of the entrance talking as trash blew past their feet like tumbleweeds. I wanted to take a video of them standing in garbage and then pan over to the parking lot flooded with carts that they were alao ignoring. I feel like they've been getting feedback for long enough that corporate is well aware this store consistently has problems But, it is likely they are going to ask me follow up questions and having that to send them would be something new to share to help them visualize the situation.
I have missed the last few months of K postings due to being on vacation or out of town. Did they eliminate the pickup shops? I loved those when I coudl get them.
