I think I did one of these back when Obama was prez. I think they pay the same amount all these years later. Not a fan of the MSC and their whacky software either. I don't need to pretend to be interested in cable service.

I will take the same payment over years if i'm deriving another benefit from it. So $20 on the 5G burger because I'm getting a meal, I will still do it for the same price today. But I don't bother with See's Candy, Spectrum or any other retail where they are paying the same amount they did more than 10 years ago with no extra benefit attached.
Daddy posts--.........with no extra benefit attached.

Bob agrees--That is the key. The extra benefit, among other reasons, could be an increase in what is received, the job conditions or a change in a shopper's situation. Last yr., I received $30+$12 for KFC drive-thru work; this yr., it is $12+$12 for the same locations. Both the job and my needs are identical, so I pass on the shops.
I tried one many years ago - more than 10. It was like going to the DMV. Take a number and wait your turn. Nope.

Depends on the location. There are two hard-to-fill ones near me that tended to have pretty good fees, and there was seldom a wait of more than 2 or 3 minutes, usually no wait at all. There's a third location which was just as you describe ... I waited 45 minutes the first time, thought I'd maybe just hit on a bad day, and tried again many months later. This time the wait was almost two hours. I finally put two and two together after talking to a guy who had driven in from 60 miles away: The location was the southernmost Spectrum location in my region, so everyone to the south was going there. That location went on my 10-foot pole list after that.

Since I may not have been clear in my thread title, let me ask again: Does anyone know if the Spectrum program has been discontinued, or moved to another MSC?
Set an appointment online. I don't recall there being anything in the instructions prohibiting it.

Once you sign in near your appointment time, you become first or second in line.

I've also done this with the doc in a box shops with another MSC, but havent seen those in a while.
I saw them in my market last quarter. All the usual locations. Same long-time MSC (of course I can't name them since its a secret and I'm a shopper).
The Spectrum shops ended December, 2024 in my area. This month there are a few for Spectrum inside Krogers (100 miles from me).
I was looking for them—too bad it ended! I made online appointments for the five or six I've done in the last few years.
