Shell gas stations

I was thinking that Shell gas station audits would be coming out at the beginning of April, but they didn't. Any idea on when they will come out?

It's my understanding that April is a dead period. I believe that April, August, and December are the dead periods that are used to finish up any shops from the previous cycle. They go out in waves, and I believe that the next wave will go out in May.
Yes, so be on the lookout starting next week in case they post early with the caveat that you can't start till May 1st or whenever.
Not even all the usual suspects popped up in my area(s). These are so not worth the base pay.

I have a big anniversary/GF's birthday trip coming up in a couple of weeks to arguably the best restaurant in the state that is literally out in the middle of nowhere.

I've done Famous Highways for as much as $300 per location on the route, but now there are only a couple on the drive home currently sitting at $25.

A couple of Mollusks on the way down are all that are available. We'll see if they go on the cheap or if I can snag them with a bonus. A really nice one in the town we'll be stopping 1st night out is not on the map at present.

On the plus side, the less time I spend in gas station bathrooms the more time we'll have to hike in Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef National Parks.

I like having my gas reimbursed while the IRS pays me for it. A sort of double dip. And my gas cans just ran out, perfect timing!
Has anyone reviewed the report?

In the very beginning there are 2 questions needing a value:
Value from XXXXXX (to trigger showing Customer Experience and Customer Service).
Value from XXXXXX (to trigger showing Customer Experience)

I cannot find anywhere in their updated guidelines that refers to this value. Perhaps a rating of 1 through 10?

Also, the report asks to take a photo of the employee's torso. If refused, a photo of the counter.

SMH!!
And I'll eat my own words... just took one for base pay, but only after determining it's only 6 pumps. Location is on a route I already booked, so might as well get a couple of gallons of gas on somebody else's dime.

The extra values are something internal we're not supposed to see but in classic (MSC) style the form was given to us half- baked. Leave them empty, it will submit just fine.

The torso pic is only required if there is a uniform infraction. You can submit a second counter pic if the employee refuses - which happens often. If the uniform is compliant that upload slot won't pop up.

The pay must be different than my area judging from the people waiting on these assignments to be released. My area only pays around $14 per location....

Lol. I agree. But having said that, it is very dry out there right now except for the peanuts shops. I think this is a good time to take a vacation.
Once I assigned 10, the rest disappear off the board. But I'm pretty sure other shoppers still see them because as soon as I completed one, they popped back on the board and I was able to assign (only) one more.

Yeah, it's only $14. But I can gas the car and truck then have a backup supply. The snacker in my house gets junk food and some stores even have fruit/cheese/milk within my reimbursement.

BTW, a different gas brand with a $2 reimbursement had a full grocery store. They had a dozen eggs on sale for $3.99 with a store coupon for $1 off. That, with my reimbursement, made my eggs 99 cents! Score!!!
Well, Shells always disappear quickly because of the 2 gallons of gas and the higher reimbursement for the inside purchase. I still won't do them for base pay, even with the gasoline it's just not enough. With my mobility issues I need to be paid VERY well to be in that kind of pain.
Tried my first Shell stations this week, at the $14 rate. I picked them up on the 10th.. Other shops are still sitting out there at $14.

I picked up one very busy shop with 20 pumps. Ugggghhh. Getting to all the pumps was a painful and tedious process. As I finally stood in front of my last pump, I saw a man drive up to about 10 feet of me to use that pump despite many other pumps being available. I continued assessing the pump and taking pics, and the man pulled forward and behind me, stopping there despite even more pumps now becoming available. "is he waiting for the 85 ethanol pump ahead of this one to become available?", I thought.

For the overall pic of the pump, I needed him to move so I could back up for the pic. I ask him if he can move forward or back a little so I may take the pic. He says in an annoyed tone, "Well, I'm waiting to get some gas.". I told him it would take like 10 seconds, so he moves. I take pic and walk away. I watch as this dude then goes to the pump where I was, and sit in his vehicle for at least a minute, doing stuff on his phone. I hate people sometimes.

The shops with 8-12 pumps took much less time. Less pumps and much less traffic. I did one Shell on a major road at 4:30 PM, and very few cars stopped in. Odd, but I was grateful. Maybe the three out of service pumps had been out of service for a while, deterring would-be customers.

I think I prefer the Mobil shops, especially at $20. Higher in-store reimbursement means very little to me, and $14 + two gallons vs $20 and $2 gas is a little in favor of Mobil. The Mobil shops are just easier imo.

I feel your pain, but I've adopted a couple of strategies that can ease it.

1. I always Google the location to get a pump count before claiming. 6 is my max for the current round at $14 + reimbursement, though I might do an 8 depending on location within the route I'm planning. Unless the bonus is huge I've set 12 pumps as my max for any of these.

2. ALWAYS take your pump pictures in reverse numerical order, even if it means going to some other part of the report while you wait for a pump to open up. This makes it way more efficient when completing your report as your pump pictures will be in proper numerical order in your phone's library.
