Credit card offer shops

Has anyone done one of the credit card application shops. From what it looks like you have to apply for 8 different cards then report what ones offered or declined you the card. There are shops for people with all different credit scores. I was considering one but second thoughts as to all the work involved plus soft credit pull.

Major PITA.

I spent a few hours doing one only to have it rejected. If I hadn't been home sick all day I would've been really pissed.

As with most shops, the MSC's time estimate is way off. Figure at least double the time quoted to get all the screenshots and complete the report(s).

Have synthesizers, will travel...

That was my general opinion of the shop. I took a look and said- well let me see what is required. Then read- the need to apply for 8 credit cards then sort through offers and interest rates, bonuses, just seemed like a big PITA- and the company has declined some of my shops in the past without any reason- so I say hard pass. been there done that- sorry your shop was declined.

no way it's credit cards. do you mean personal loans.
a mystery shop company expecting me to get 8 different hard inquiries for a shop that barely pays is crazy

It is credit cards not personal loans. Requires applying for 8 then seeing what offers or refusals you are offered then documenting. I saw it and said ahhh no thanks

I did not consider these. I like the loan shops as even though you still need to check various companies the rates and length of time are fairly straight forward. For credit cards there are so many variations out there I would imagine you might have endless choices from each company. Too many screenshots!
