What's the deal with Cousins Maine Lobster?

My truck recently got more than one truck so when you look at the schedule sometimes there are 3 or 4 events on the same day at the same time. The last time I tried to get a shop they said to email them to ask about the location. I hadn't heard back but signed up day 1 because it was in my area and was moments away from just trying to order when they told me that location had the wrong truck. This time, I decided to email first before self assigning. When I did, I was told that they didn't have the list yet???? And shortly after the shop was gone. It appeared later in the month and they asked me to do it but I said it wasn't in my area. This was last month. I didn't try assigning this month but noticed today that the shop was back on the board so I emailed them again. I checked later today and it's gone. How am I supposed to get this shop??? I guess I need to self assign and figure it out later??? The technicalities are almost too much to make it worth it, though the food is good.

The whole process is a royal PITA. Communication is minimal and generic, with a high risk of error as you noticed. Not worth it, IMHO.
Would love to try them sometime, but as you have found, the entire MS process is extremely problematic.

I have only attempted this shop one time and never again. I signed up on a date/time when the truck was supposed to be at an event I had already planned to attend. I never found the truck! I don't think it was even there. I canceled and was "dinged," but what else was I to do? I reported what happened.

Why cancel when you should have a way to report that they were not available to begin with?
I have done a few of these without any issues. The truck in my area has a facebook page with all the locations that they will be at for the month. If there is one at a place I want to go to I will request that date.

The problem is that some locations have more than one truck so they have events listed on FB at the exact same time at different locations. But you have to make sure you are evaluating the "right truck" otherwise you won't get paid. I saw one of the other trucks and it's smaller than their normal truck.
I wondered about this one. They only ever show as being in a location that's out of my distance range for a shop of this type/pay although I drive past a truck locally from time to time. I guess that one is the "wrong" truck and I am better off doing some other shop and just paying for food at the nearby truck.
I tried this shop last year. I shopped the correct location at the correct time with a Cousins truck present and selling the required items. Unfortunately Cousins sent another vehicle to the site and my shop was declined. I have asked multiple times how I am supposed to know whether the truck at the proper location at the proper time with Cousins insignias on it is the correct truck but have received no answer. I continue to get texts asking me to shop this client but still no answer as to how to identify the proper truck. This is another one that has gone on my no go list.
The truck was in my city for an entire week, but there was only one location/date that I was available. I did report what happened, however, I could not go to another location in my city that week. I was in fact "dinged."

I just received a text about a bonus to do this shop today. Is this a joke? The truck isn't even scheduled for today....
I got that message as well, but no location was mentioned. I asked for clarification and didn't receive a response.

The gal who is trying to schedule these is struggling mightily. She kept send me locations 5+ hours away. I twice sent her the zip and area codes to search in, but she didn't get it. Good grief. The pay is low, the number of pictures is outrageous, but the food is good...if thats what floats your boat!
Well this thread has given me enough information to put them on the 10-foot-pole list.
I self-assigned, emailed the scheduler, and got the list of the truck's location. Everything went well until I arrived at the location. It was a public park, but then a production company hosting the event charged a $10 admission fee. I paid and stood in line in the hot sun for 25 minutes without shade (temperature in the 90s). Never again!
