Capital Grille Generous Pour

CG is back -- now the scenario is to go to the bar or make a lounge reservation and get some burgers and wine with a $75 reimbursement. I'm not personally interested but 80% of these around here have been snatched up so clearly plenty of folks would like to do this shop.

That should NOT have happened. The pour sizes are enough to share. It’s none of the servers business who drinks what. These are SAMPLE sizes not full glasses.[/quote]

It does not matter the size of the glass. You pay for the generous pour per person, not to share. When you go to a restaurant where they have bottomless soda you buy a glass per guest. Same concept. You can share if you were purchasing a flight, or a single glass, not something unlimited. It is the reason that restaurants put the sign that if one buys the buffet, there is no sharing.
Does anyone know what time of day this MS (or any other for that matter) posts their shops? I check all my MS every day and there are some I can never seem to view until they are available for wait list. Seems like I can get my choice of JM and one other restaurant (that appears to be requiring food and drinks without the reimbursement to match), but any other open shops are few and far between.
Not nearly enough to go with a guest. I had to laugh. Solo is fine. The shops did go quickly though.

The Generous Pour is NOT unlimited. You get ONE extra pour per red and white wine. This is not the same concept as all you can eat. What if you don’t like the wines, who is going to drink them? Again, these are meant to be sample sizes for the most part. People share the Generous Pour all the time.

The current burger + wine is $35:per person at the location near me. Tip would add $7 per person, ans sales tax in NJ is 6.625% so another $2.32. The total is then $44.32 oer person. The $35 is then a 21% discount. I would do it.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008

You're not blocked from anything. It's just first come, first serve. I've been wanting the Japanese grill one for a while and still waiting for months because I'm not quick enough. They don't come out at a set time like the Kroger shops.
I registered for the Wine&Wagu event. My husband and I are not big wine drinkers, but we will sacrifice for the shop. The date is not till next month. If anyone does a W&W event, could they please post a little about the experience so I know what to expect?

It's very easy compared to their typical dinner shops. You just keep an eye out for W&W signage. You see if the host gives you the W&W menu. The bartender should bring it up too. Then take pics of the wine glass, burger, and the bottles featured at the bar.

It has changed this year? Until now it was unlimited pours of each wine.

Edit by me. It seems it has changed. Prior years it was "endless pours"

I used to edit these shops. I can't speak for what each individual restaurant did, but it was never meant to be unlimited. This go round, it definitely wasn't. It was one top off for one red and one wine.
I hesitated picking one of these up the other day, because they were all solo visits without a reservation. If that changes, I will definitely try to get one!
It was my understanding that you had to go solo.
The walk-in’s are for only for solo visits, but the reservation ones allow you to go with or without a guest.
