Exxon sticker removal

Site Experiences don't seem to be moving in my area, still listed at $18.

Some of the Sticker Removal shops were finally taken by someone other than me. A few clusters of shops to the west and south of me were claimed. I took five shops to the immediate south of me and will hopefully get 'em done today, thunderstorms permitting.

Here is my latest finding:

Before taking any photos of the overall site, the fueling area or the MID, I first take the before removal pump photos.
Next, I use my handy plastic putty knife or whatever its referred and remove the stickers.
Then, I go back and take my other needed photos.
For myself, I have found that by allowing the remaining stickum, now exposed to air allows it to become easier to remove.
For that last stickum, I first scrape as much off and then use a washcloth type of rag doused in the 99% alcohol to remove the remainder.
I'm considering trying grain alcohol or overproof rum as my next type of remover to see if that makes the process faster.

If it doesn't, I'll drink it!
Last night my son did one site experience in GA for $25, because it was where we were, and one on the way back home in AL for $25. There were some for $20, but they weren't convenient for the route.
I think the shopper limit at one time is 10. Maybe 11. That's when they all disappear off the job board for that shopper but reappear after one has been completed.

Yep definitely 10.
Some additional thoughts on this project:
Having now done quite a few of these sticker removal shops, I have found that for the fee now receiving, there needs to be an increase when some of the sites have more than 12 pumps. I know of some sites with 16, 20 and 24 pumps. I cannot imagine it being worthwhile to spend my time on that many for the current fee, especially when there is no gas allowance. Yes, there are the sites with 4 or 6 pumps or sites where there are no stickers needing removal. For me, those are few and far between.
My other thought is this: in reading the LOA there are some veiled warnings to the site's owners.

One of them: " Should you choose to refuse this inspection, this could affect your site experience score in the future and the evaluator will attempt to take a photo of the Site Inspection Refusal document while placed on the counter.
Another: Taking specific site photographs - Conduct a survey to evaluate branded canopies maintenance

Has anyone had a refusal? I wonder just what is meant by "affect your site experience in the future"?

I understand the other photo issue. It seems like a mini site experience with the shopper taking an overall photo, a MID photo and then a forecourt photo that includes the canopy.

Clever use of supposedly just removing old stickers.
I've yet to see a sticker job within 30 miles of me. For some reason, only one or two further out. Yesterday, I stopped by two different 7-Eleven stores in opposite directions. Each one had at least 16 pumps. All of the payment stickers are still on the pumps. So weird.

Please don't feed the MSF trolls!

Feeding the MSF trolls bread or other human food is detrimental to their health and the environment. It can lead to malnutrition, disease, and behavioral problems in trolls, as well as water pollution and the spread of pests. Trolls are capable of finding their own food sources and don't require human assistance.
Somebody snapped up all the Experience and Removal jobs in my area. I hope they have fun!

There were dozens in my area. I've done about 30 and have two more left to do. There are a few shops close to me which were on the board, and then disappeared. After a few days passed and they're not back on the board, I figured they were completed. However, I stopped at one yesterday as I needed gas, and the stickers are still on the pumps.

Go figure.

I haven't had a refusal, nor has anyone at any of the shops I've done asked me about any of the details you quoted from the LOA.

Hadn't really thought much about the dual purposes of the visit and the way we're presenting them. The LOA mentions the multiple facets of our visit, and I make sure the person I hand the LOA to knows there is a section highlighting what I'll be doing there. It's not like surveys of any sort are new or a surprise to them.

Most shops I've done had 8-12 pumps. I had a few 16s, but one didn't have any stickers. The weather is also a factor. I'm in South Florida. Doing shops in the afternoon is brutal. I was wiped out after doing three stations Thursday afternoon (all had the stickers and white circles). If I were doing a route and had to include a 16+ pump station in the afternoon, that's a hard pass.

I have perfected the way to do these shops as quickly as possible. First, count the pumps. If there are more than 8, drive away. Third, see if they have any of the stickers. If they do, drive away. Otherwise, go ahead and claim the job, take a photo of each pump and the three other rquired pics. That's it. These shops will get bonused eventually.
Yesterday we did a sticker removal shop. On Thursday I claimed a Site Experience and the sticker removal shop at the same location. It's a location that both me and my son have done many site experience shops at, during the old and the new programs. We weren't able to get there until early evening, and when I opened up Presto to Check in, only the sticker removal shop was there. I don't know why, I don't know if there was a glitch and it timed out or if the shop was removed for whatever reason. But I was sorely disappointed. But we combined our effort, my son removed the stickers and I took the pictures seating on my walker. It was great, and very nearly fun. I'm just upset that we didn't make the $51 we should have.
I had something similar happen last quarter. I claimed 10 SIte experience shops one after the other. They were all quarterlies, which normally had 5-day windows. I did them all on day 4. When I got to the last three, they were gone. I couldn't figure it out at first, but then I discovered all the quarterlies still on the board had 3-day windows. I don't know if I just didn't notice the last three were different, or they changed the window retroactively.

I will personally cop to the former. Checked a location to confirm the 120-hour window, and assumed that all the available locations would be the same window, so didn't pay attention as I went on a claiming spree. Ended up having a couple drop off because they were 3 days instead of 5.

Usually, I take notice when the fee rises higher than the original. don't know why they (the MSC) shortens the time allotment.
OTOH, there are quite a few shops that make a nice route in one particular area. I've noticed that lately, or actually in the last year, they all get swallowed up by another shopper. But then, they reappear a week or so later with an increased fee.
I'm not certain if they disappeared due to a shopper flaking or for some other reason.

I just take them and make a nice, tidy sum for the day.
10 jobs at one time in queue via Presto. My anxiety is rising and head spinning. smiling smiley

I was on a road trip for vacation, and I stopped to get gas at a Mobil recently. I noticed that all of the stickers had been removed from the pumps. However, the area where the stickers used to be was scratched up pretty bad on all of the pumps. I could tell that someone had used the scraper really hard. I do not know if that was a contractor that did it or someone at the station. However, it didn't look good.
I wonder if shoppers who leave scratches get their pay docked. It would probably be expensive.

I've noticed that after removing the stickers, there were scratches and marks. I knew it wasn't from my removal. It seems that whoever applied those stickers in the first place were covering previous scratches.

And now that I think about it, this should be reported in the comments in order to not get docked!
I find it amazing, that no one has stated the pain on your arm, neck and shoulder, that these shops create. All the power to the ones that have done 30 or whatever amount. I still know these shops are being UNDER PAID and no whining when they double the fees ! I have done one 8 and a bunch of 4's only. It took days for the pain to go away from the awkward motion (at least to me) of scraping. Not difficult, just time consuming and I'm worth more to wait for the bonus ! All stations (8 and above to 24 pumps) are still sitting in my area.
