Paging Mattress Shoppers

I always get so much help from people here so just wanted to pass this along. I've done TONS of Mattress Shops but today I learned there are 2 NEW QUESTIONS so I just wanted to forewarn you:

1.)What was the FIRST mattress rep showed you?

2.)What was the SECOND mattress they showed you?

They want brand AND model. The first one I remembered. The 2nd one I only knew because I voice recorded the entire visit like I usually do for 'just in case' purposes.

If this helps someone avoid an incomplete shop----wonderful. If not, well, you will never ever ever get 30 seconds of your life back again because you spent time reading this for no reason.

I think you are referring to mattress shops by the company that does the greasy burger and fry shops? yes I did one and the form definitely asks for the first and second models- complete names and models. There is a big sale on for Tempur Pedic saw ads on TV the other day- I suspect the stores are being told to push that brand as the Tempur Breeze was the first one shown to me. Thanks for the heads up

I always just take a picture of the label with the name on it and usually the prices. I've never had a salesrep complain.
What does paging mean? Is that like the Bat-Signal?

Yes that one. Honestly - I didn't read guidelines and I've not read it in awhile just because I've done so many shops, never a problem. So I didn't know these questions would pop up. Anyhow, just passing it along.
Thank you, good to know. The last time I visited, I was surprised by how much the old Tempur-Pedic
mattresses got slashed to make room for the new ones.

It used to be the Temperpedic sets were never allowed to be discounted from MSRP. I believe it was something I had to ask for during shops.

Saw a TV add a couple weeks back where they were advertising the discount.

I guess there's enough memory foam matresses out now it's a competitive market.
Yes! Before Tempur-Pedic bought out Mattress Firm, the other retailers couldn't further discount them. Usually, the sales were only a discount on its adjustable base or accessories.

I own the top of the line Tempur Pedic from 10 years ago. A major regional retailer went out of business. On a lark, I went into one of the locations and ran into an employee who gave me the heads up on how the liquidation was going. I missed on a queen sized and adjustable, but bought two California King (Twin XL) adjustable based for $150 each, then two Luz Breeze Twin XL mattresses to go with them. $10K for $1000. Best investment.

I'm a big fan, as well. I know someone who knows someone who works there and got a great deal at the time. Years later, I was in awe at the drop in prices. I see it as an investment, as well.

Also, the purchase can be exempt from sales tax in some states with a prescription.

If same one I'm thinking, I saw a recent round go for $75, but I was subject to rotation.

Those are much more involved with lots of narratives, but still worth the fee and the company is a good one. The other ones referred to by OP are for the easy peasy shop reporting company that pays not so great. I took one today for $30. Much less stressful than the $75 ones, although they have added quite a bit of narrative to what used to be an easy form. I'm a sucker for that adjustable base. I love reclining in it with my feet up in the air...so relaxing even if its only for 5 minutes.

I record all of my site visits now for the same reason. It really helps.
