Sizing audits

Anyone see these on their job board? I haven't seen them appear in awhile. When I did see them, I couldn't self-assign like I used to before either.

I see them in my email.

There is a rotation on them. When you are in-rotation, you can self assign. When you are out of rotation, you can not self assign (nor will the scheduler assign it to you). Its something like you can shop a location every other round. So you shop it in June, someone else shops it in August, you are eligible again in October. They seem to have shop a location every other month.

How long does those shops take? I've seen them before and never took them cause they seem so time consuming. The ones I see require you to look at about 100 pieces of clothing per size or something like that.
Depending on the categories, I can usually complete all 500 in 30 to 45 minutes. I record my counts so I get out of the store faster. You cannot spend less than 30 minutes in the store. They will reject your shop.

You can only do one per rotation. So if you did one in early July, you can't do another for the same location. The new ones for August did just post so you should be able to assign those. There is another shopper here that takes them for $20 in the beginning of the month. Then for round 2, they can't do them and I wait for the fee to double and then I do them.
They must have banned me or something because I don’t see any on the job board haha
I was just wondering about these, my daughter wants to shop at one of the stores for back to school shopping.

The pay by me is $20. Do these reports require pics and heavy narrative or are the reports pretty light?

I know I've seen some in further out areas going for slightly higher pay, but not sure if these are worth $20 and I'm already in the store waiting on a pre-teen to try on 15 pairs of jeans.

Only a few pics required, one of the store and one of a price tag for each of the 5 categories so not bad. Only narrative if you find more than 8 items not correctly in their category in which you then have to explain in detail as to what you found. I take notes on my phone and do the report later. Usually at least 2 of the 5 categories require narrative IF you are at a pretty decent store.

$20 is ok if you are going to already be there but I usually wait for them to hit $30 or more.
One pic of an item for each category, and one or two pics of the entrance / exterior.

No narrative. If a section has at least a certain number of misplaced items ( I think it's seven) in a span of 100 items, you have to list the misplaced items.

I've done a few. They're easy. The shoes are kinda a PITA though, cause people just put 'em back wherever, it seems.

Thanks guys, for the feedback. I'll probably skip for $20, but if the pay goes up, I may offer to take her shopping lol
Hopefully the fee goes up. There are many of these audits available in my area, but they rarely go above $20. I snagged a few $25 shops earlier this year.

Be forewarned that if you happen to have a great audit (very few misplaced items), you will get questioned and potentially get your pay held. This happened to me, but I was able to "prove" my integreity since I had completed several over the years with no issue. The shop in question was a Burlington that was neat as a pin. I even suggeseted they pull the cameras that they claim they have to validate my shop. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't but I was paid.

I just report them on the mobi audit app while in store. Saves a lot of time.
I'm pretty quick and can do it in about 30 -40 minutes, depends on how many items are out of place that you have to record. I think you HAVE to be in the store at least 30 minutes.

I have had several audits that went well with little to no mis sizes. I have never been questioned personally. Possibly the security footage was reviewed, but we are told that is a possibility. This is definitely the exception rather than the rule, however.
They said that the results of my audit were rare for this particular store (and I would agree). I explained that this must have been an anomoly. I have never seen any Burlington this organized....ever!

I’ve had the opposite with the same MSC I did over 100 assignments for and used to enjoy the simplicity of those audits.

I report what is, as requested, and was questioned when I gave an accurate report on a known mess of a store; Six times back and forth demanding I support my findings and asking for more photos as proof. (I’m glad I took extras).

The scheduler “didn’t want to make a negative impression on the client.” My reply was: “I’m sorry you feel the need for that concern, but I’m not paid to play politics. I’m simply asked to perform the assignment as instructed, and I have. I’ve also provided you with an extra 1.5 hours of my time and provided additional data as requested in these follow ups in support of the reality I reported.” I was threatened with having my report thrown out, and not being paid.

I was not paid and haven’t worked for them since, but did write to the ceo and told them why. No response.

The $20 I should have received (8 weeks later) wasn’t worth more of my time to pursue, and much better things have come along.

I did far more complicated assignments for another branch of that company, and had to battle with the editor for every one, while other companies complemented my work and offered bonuses.

It took me a while, but when things start to feel “off” I consider moving on.

I’m glad you came out on top. I did too until that last example.

I’m not suggesting anyone choose as I did, but what we do is worth a lot more to the businesses that post these assignments than we’re paid. If we’re already being making lees than $10/hour and we’ve done what’s asked accurately, I’m not giving them more of me for free.

Im sorry that happened to you and I believe every bit of what you have stated! They put me through the wringer to prove that the store was NOT a mess! I am very trigger shy of these audits and will not take one for less than $30 but prefer more. I have been paid upward of $60 for one location about 40 miles away. I was able to pick up other shops in the area, so it was well worth it.
