Where are the Sonic shops?

Been checking the MSC with the bulk of the shops and nothing has been posted. Last month they were late to post, but I figured that was because of the 4th of July, but nothing yet for August?

Depends on which ones you are looking for. The ones done with the Panda Express company or the ones with the 5 guys company?

I saw them listed with the 5 guys company. I did not check the Panda Express company for them.

I was looking for the shops with the Panda Express company... Still nothing posted for this month. The ones with the Five Guys company I see posted (with their usual trash fees). Perhaps a new MSC getting Sonic?

I noticed from an email that the shops that were all over my area are gone and they might have picked a different market. Or maybe they switched from corporate to franchise. I only liked the shops for the bonuses at the end of the month and the drinks so no big loss for me. Tired of that inconsistent burger and tots. I would usually do 3 or 4 back to back in hopes that one burger was edible.

From my understanding, a number of Sonic locations have closed. The one nearest us was closed the other day when we drove by. It was a very recent closure. My son said it wasn't just the one near us. I don't know any more than that, but closures could well be impacting the number of available assignments.

There are several closed Sonics here in N. Alabama. After the lockdown lifted they couldn't get enough people to work. Sometimes they had only one or two people running the whole store, so they shut down the stalls and only took drive thru orders. Now those locations are closed and abandoned.

Sonic shops just posted in my area with the original MSC that they had been shopped with for many years. 11.50 and no payment as the base rate. Looks like lots of location photos but you can order any combo and any side. The last MSC was very restrictive of what you could order so much so that I didn't want to eat the food. I picked up one next to me to check it out but I will be holding out for some kind of payment for future shops.

Photo requirements:

1-Inbound photo (picture of the first side of the drive-in you see when pulling on to the lot)

2-Outbound photo (picture of the opposite side of the drive-in you see when pulling on to the lot-drive-thru side)

3-Main sign (picture of the main SONIC sign)

4-Dumpster area (picture of the dumpster area including doors and surrounding area)

5-Lot photo (picture of any particularly dirty spots in the stalls or lot or any potholes)

Additional- Look carefully for cleanliness issues! If after dark, also look for lighting issues!
ADDITIONAL PHOTOS: Any additional photos needed to show cleanliness issues

WOW.. That seems like a-LOT OF Photos.. I remember when they had it several years ago, the only photo was the burger, side, and ticket. and I believe the bathroom if it was dirty

Also some of my Sonic's don't have an D.T.. So we take a picture of the other side? Why do we need a picture of the building?

It also said that you could order any burger but they recommend the smash burger I believe,,

For zero fee, I think I will pass also till they raise the fee ..

I thought this post didn't have any legs, but this is the first time I've seen many of the original locations with the MSC from years ago. These shops have gone through the ringer. Weird to see it with the original MSC again, but it's so bad now.

The 5g msc has had the Sonics in my area for a long time. I see some listed for $11 reimburse/$0 pay and some for $11.50 reimburse/no pay. Is the extra fiddy cent remibursement for all the extra pictures? :-) I haven't done one for less than $15 and don't plan too.

i'll take a 5g shop at BASE pay before I ever take a sonic with NO pay.

They're used to be 3 different MSC's that had these. One paid $10-$15 fee and reimbursement. The 5G one's business model is to start low and then go up as shops are not picked up. The last MSC had a fee plus reimbursement which made it nice to do this shops.

I'm hoping that the MSC that has had the bulk of the shops the past couple of years is not out of the game. They had just recently started doing breakfast and LTO shops in addition to the hamburgers and I like their fee/reimbursement rates. The 5G MSC can go pound sand with their $0 fees.

So, I signed up for 3 out of curiosity and because they are near other shops I am doing. I completed the first one today.

Take at least 2 photos of the entrance side and the exit side as well as the Sonic sign on top of the building plus the dumpster area. If you see anything dirty or that needs attention, take photos of that as well. You do not need photos of the food, only th receipt.

There are a lot more questions than any of the past Sonic Shops (I have done hundreds with the last MSC).

Pros: You can order any sandwich, side or drink.
Cons: $11:50 is the max. All the remaining shops have disappeared from my view.

i think the biggest CON is the CON of NO pay. I don't think you got any pay on the 3 you grabbed. That is your choice to take them, but for some of us, that is what prevents us from even looking at the shops to begin with.

However, thank you for the details on what is required now.

The next question is....are you going to continue to take these shops will all the extra work?

I still see the few locations that the other MSC has been working this last year or so on their job board. I think this no-pay round with the MSC you guys are talking about seems to be more focused on cleanliness and maintenance rather than food and service. So maybe it's just a now and then project instead of monthly. We'll see.

When I am 300 miles from home on a route with no way to heat up food, it's nice to grab a burger or chicken and keep going; even if it's no fee.

FYI- There is a note at the top of the guidelines stating that SNAP/EBT cannot be used for payment. The shop will be invaild.

Not only has that always been the policy for the same MSC's Five Guys shops, but they make the phone rep state it verbally whenever a scheduler calls and assigns one.

All of these new Sonic shops near me got taken at no fee. To each their own. I just did a nearby Buffalo Wild Wings shop for no fee which I thought was well worth the time and effort, and I realize that there are others who wouldn't go there for $50.
