Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen

Hi! Does anyone know if this place is still being shopped? I recall seeing it on the boards a couple of years ago, but I never picked it up. We went there last night and enjoyed the food. It was weird going on my dime though, after remembering that one of the MSC’s carried it….

I have not seen it in a long time. I guess the last time I did one was 2 years ago or so.
I did a couple of shops there a few years ago. I'd love to go again. But I haven't seen any shops. I've mostly adopted the policy of not visiting a restaurant on my own dime if I've already shopped it. So I'm not likely to go back anytime soon.
Cheddar's is part of Darden group. Darden bought them in 2017. There are a few Cheddars in the greater Phoenix valley. I never knew of them when I was in SoCal.

This is the listing of Darden from their website.
Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Yard House, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, The Capital Grille, Chuy's, Seasons 52, Eddie V's and Bahama Breeze.

I saw something about Bahama Breeze that bothered me. Darden CEO basically said something the effect that they didn't care to invest any more into that concept. They have closed quite a few locations too.

They had a location in Vegas just east of the strip off Flamingo. That closed back in May of this year.
I forgot when Darden acquired them. It’s funny, out of the list of restaurants above, I’ve shopped half of them, including BB. However, out of those five places, I’ve only shopped one of them in the last few years, and it was with a different MSC.
I believe Ruth's Chris is still with the knee ligament MSC. I know the same MSC had BB for awhile. Not sure if they had them recently or not.
Ha! It took me a moment to get your reference. I shopped BB seven years ago, and I haven’t seen it listed anywhere since.
I did not know Longhorn was part of the Darden group. I have seen them listed in the neighboring city by the knee ligament company. I wonder if they rotate which concept is shopped.
A CLOSE friend's son in law is a mgr at Olive Garden. I completed a number of this MSCs shops. Not as bad as Coyle narratives but still, IMO, the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

Virtually all of the Bahama Breeze locations in my area have closed. Ah, I remember when we went to our first Bahama Breeze restaurant in the Pac NW.

I guess I should cash out the remaining Darden gift cards we have before more of their themed chains close.

I did OG for a different MSC last year, and the report was significantly easier.
yes OG was with the panda msc and does special projects for them. It was very specific ordering guidelines. Rarely see those shops available. But yes, certainly a much easier report.
Now I need their easier g’day mate shops to return!
