I just use the odometer that came with the car.
I just use the mileage Google maps calculates my trip is. You can put multiple stops in, including a straight shot home.
I'm just going to say this from many many years of experience. Do not trust mileage tracking apps, I have learned my lesson and lots of times they are wrong. The best way to keep track of your mileage is to write it down off of your odometer.

I created a Sheets file (Excel) in Google and I input the basic information at home such as mystery shopping company, name of store, address of store, mileage at the start, mileage at each location as well as pay, total miles driven, tolls and reimbursements. It makes it substantially easier to deal with your taxes if you know your exact amount of mileage that you have driven and if you're audited, you have proof of your mileage at every location you stopped at, plus it's backed up to Google automatically and if you choose to cancel a mileage app or it crashes you don't lose all of your data. All I do is open that sheet at each location from my phone and type in my mileage.
Most modern cars (even my 1999 Toyota) have two odometer trackers. I use one for tracking miles between fuel stops and use the other for tracking total route miles. I use Google Maps to track my miles in progress and ETA to next shop.
I went a little further and made a Google Sheet (their free version of an Excel spreadsheet) where I do my "loop" from start to finish and then create columns to calculate miles between locations as well as average driving time. I did this using some Google Cloud APIs. Yes, it's a bit over the top for those who don't have programming experience, but if anyone wants other tips on how to do this, let me know. Also, using the APIs is free up to a point, and then you get a monthly charge every time you call it, but it's so worth it. Once a shop loop is complete, I turn off the formulas so they don't keep loading up over and over, and I get charged out the wazoo.

From the sheet, I calculate mileage, hours, and then with the revenue generated, I see what I earned per hour and my potential tax write off with the miles.
I use MileIQ also. I can tell it's accurate.
After keeping my mileage manually for years as the others do, I switched to MileIQ and I love it. I can see that it is accurate.
