5 Guys changes

So it looks like each shop will get 1 lunch and 1 dinner shop per month. No more late night.

That will probably make them much easier to fill, and make bonuses a thing of the past. I don't mind, I only did 5 guys when it was over $25 bonus because the food it too high in fat and calories for a middle aged woman trying to lose some weight. I won't miss the visits.
if this information is, true, i will be bummed.

Based on what is on the shop board now, it's fake news so far

i see shops listed with the beginning dates of:
8/28
9/4
9/11
9/18

Maybe this "change" will take place in the 4th quarter (beginning in October?)

I will be bummed if this is true. I like 5g, but i'm not going to spend $19 to eat there myself. I will gladly do these for $20 payment (or higher)

If that goes away, I will miss it. I like doing 1-2 per month.

Takes more than 2 standard panda visits to get to what 1 5g shop (i would accept at $20 or higher)

I did two late nights in the last few days. One Friday night and one Saturday night and for the $25 rate.

I was talking starting next moth. And looking further at the job board I am more confused. I see a tapering number of shops, and no late night at all. Maybe they're just making it up as they go? One of my contacts at MF said they were moving to monthly only checks.

Maverick,

You're killing me smalls. Best laugh I've had all week even if it is just Monday.
Well I certainly don't know how to run a national burger chain. BUT - 5G sometimes gets pushback on prices. AND sometimes as many of us here know the food - doesn't warrant it. I wonder - if I'm an employee and I know I'm gonna get shopped less..... is that incentive to do a better job, or does it make it easier to serve up so-so food or service? I dunno - if I'm charging top dollar, I maybe want to know that my product and service is good enough for people to keep paying.
I am getting phone calls for shops not on the job board. They offer $13 fee, I have been paid $20 in the past and tell them this and they say we will contact you if the fee goes up.
Just did a shop in the last couple days for more than $25 in payment. Regular dine in. Maybe this was a tougher location so they gave me what I asked for. It was not absurd amount. Between $25-$30
What? You can't just state your fee?

Whadda yo tink dis is mysterious shopin'? smiling smiley

Gotta call from "stateside" MSC rep indicating they had a shop in my area. They disclosed the details including $13/$15 fee. I reminded them I received $30 last time. They went on and on about how that's the most they can offer. I said, "I'm sorry, I won't take a fee for less than my previous shop." They responded that the client has lowered the fees. They went on to say that a mattress shop has done the same. I confirmed my "no thank you."

I'm calling bs. Unlikely both clients are doing the same tactic. More likely, the MSC knows from their algorithm that shoppers appear desperate to take lower fees.
And they raised prices again in my area. Small drinks now 3.49. Large 3.79. Extra bacon up to $2.00.
I have to believe that if no shoppers bite at $15, their only option is to go higher.
Just curious where everyone has learned of these "changes" to the program.

The scheduler from Georgia, Jasmine, told me they were going to once a month last time she called me.

job board screams fake news. I see quite a few places weekly in september.

maybe it's something that will happen with the NEW quarter starting in October? or maybe there is no truth to it at all.
I don't know what to tell you except what I was told. Maybe if a shop is picked up it will disappear from the weeks that follow. I really don't care. I hope you continue to get as many as you like. I'm happy with one or two per month at a nice fee or else I'll eat WaWa subs, TRH or cook an amazing "creation" (my husband might not always agree, but that's what I call my cooking creations) and that's fine with me.

I agree. If they won't pay me what I need to do the shops, I just wont do them. $15 doesn't cut it. Time involved and gas....

Same thing I said earlier. The person I emailed at the MSC said it was their understanding that the shops would be going monthly only, but he did not say when. I haven't heard from him recently.
The MSC that has 5 Guys gave me a 500 shops completed certificate, then a 1000 shops completed a couple years later, but I will never see a 1500 shops completed certificate from them. When I logged on to submit my last completed 5G shop on time, it had been removed from my Shop Log without warning or reason, I did not get paid for either the shop or the amount I spent for the reqired purchase. If this is the way they play, I don't need them and am finished with them. They can find other suckers to work for them. I work for money and will not tolerate this kind of treatment.
@AZwolfman - That is shameful they did that to you. Well, you get a 2,000 plus, certificate, for posting your wisdom here.
@AZwolfman

Did you ask them what happened or for an explanation? Could have been an employee error. Ask them and let us know what the response is. MFISherri looks at these boards. Maybe she can chime in. Seems like there might be a reasonable explanation. They also can't be super-picky as you do the Nevada shops and there is not an abundance of Nevada shoppers to rely on.
For NV shops, you do not contact the MSC directly. You contact the PI that you work for, and they take it up with the MSC. That is why we very rarely have to chase payments. I don't have the time to chase payments. Heck, I barely find the time to read and post this forum.

So the 5G MSC is apparently in such dire straits financially that they would rather lose me as a shopper than pay out a paltry $29.36 for a shop that I did correctly and would have submitted on time if they had not removed it.
I just did a late night for $39 plus the normal reimbursement so this is not true.
Hi, I am in the UK, and do maybe two a month of the five guys visits. Is this going to be the same here, will you be allowed only 1 per month is that correct?
Many thanks. smiling smiley
Last week I received a call for Seabrook,NH, for $15. Of course I tunred it down and told him I'd wait. He told me they could not raise fees and all that other BS. Today I get a call offerring me $20. I offerred $23 and they took it. So I had dinner at 5 Guys and the prices had gone up. The reimbursement no longer covers what i normally order.

You would have to contact the MSC office for the UK. So far we have not been limited. Maybe the change is coming in October, or perhaps we're all ahead of our skis.
Ok thank you, I will just keep checking over the coming weeks. I wouldnt be surprised if they cut it back a bit as a company I deal with sent an email the other week stating that due to the economy, some clients were pulling back on visits.
Its like some pub visits I do here in the UK, a lot of them are drying up, and as such reducing your workload down unfortunately. smiling smiley
Well I got a call offering $25 for lunch. I normally have gotteh $30 and probably would have taken the $25, but I'm not available on the days they offered.

Looked on the board they have 4 at $20 and MAO. 4 at $15 and 4 at $9 near me, at 2 locations.
