Let's talk about video

So I recently started video shopping. I've found that the part I thought would be the hardest- mastering the equipment- is the easiest part. With that said, for those of you doing new home shops which always require fake names, phone numbers, and email addresses- how on earth do you all remember that information, since you are not allowed to "cheat" and companies are now telling us we can't even look at our phones to get the information as it will tip off the agents? This seems to be a big dealbreaker in whether or not you can do those new home shops - and no one tells you that before you invest in the equipment! Also... routes... so many shops require appointments with specific targets who work on various days that never seem to line up with the other shops in the area. How do you deal with recorded phone calls while on the road, and the back and forth? I've talked to a few experts out there but some of them have been doing this so long they've forgotten what it's like to be new.

Use names of people you know. Use phone numbers close to your own, if possible.

For targets, if you are the road, let the MSC know up front you can only catch them during a certain time period, and will otherwise have to drop the shop. And don't wait until the last day to start calling.
