Kroger Shops Drop Today?

The following is my opinion and I certainly could be mistaken. As it applies to the produce dept., I rarely receive a greeting. This is due to the workers busily stocking or not in attendance. In addition, some men feel awkward smiling at another male and women could feel the smile might be misinterpreted. Finally, some people simply no not smile. If I were a manager with an excellent employee, but who was not a Cheshire cat, it would be immaterial to me.

I finally got an email today asking for clarification, asking for all 3 dept because apparently I marked that the workers for all 3 dept did not smile or greet at me. I dug out my note and told the schedule what each and everyone was doing when I passed by. The scheduler came back later and questioned about the name that I had for the cashier because "It did not match the name on the receipt" and suggested that I went to the wrong store, and to that I told her that...that was the only supermarket in the city, maybe the cashier had someone else unlock the system for them, or the cashier forget his badge and wore someone else else. I can only report what I observe, and I can't do anything about name badge being different than the name on receipt.....only then the scheduler back down and don't bother me anymore....
Many times the cashier will forget their badge and put on someone else's just to have something on. I'm a regular at one store and I've seen the same employee wear a variety of name tags.
I had a fun one yesterday.. I think all of the associates switched their name tags randomly.. I had a man with a nametag that said 'Mandy' I thought it was strange, but then again, one of my favorite actors is Mandy Patinkin, so I thought maybe his mom had really good taste. In the meat department I saw a woman named Griffin, and this is the South where women seem to have incredibly strange names, so it's probably just me being Californian.

I also had the strangest thing happen (at a different store), it has NEVER happened before. I got into the checkout lane, put all of my stuff on the belt. The cashier finished checking out the guy ahead of me, then she just walked away. She went to the desk and stood with her back to me at the checkout lane, and just talked to someone there, then vanished. A manager came and checked me out, the manager didn't sign in on the register, she just used the register under the name of the cashier that walked away. Another manager came over and bagged my groceries for me.

I'm well into my 60's and I've been grocery shopping for myself and my family since I was 17, I've NEVER had a cashier just walk away from the register and ignore me.

Maybe they are doing weird things to specific target and see if such action would show up in the report with this cat fishing tactics
Morledzep once upon a time I worked at a fabric store. One afternoon I was working the checkout register and began to feel more and more sick. Finally I mumbled " I am not feeling well" and walked to the back room. To this day I have no idea about the folks in line or how the situation was handled.
Rho, she wasn't sick, I watched her walk over to the desk and start talking, she was there for a full 5 minutes before the manager stepped up to check me out. She disappeared while I was paying attention to the manager checking me out. I'd love to give her the benefit of the doubt.

I also did not mention her walking away from me in my report. I gave the manager's name as my cashier, and the other manager's name as my bagger and never mentioned her walking away. I have learned my lesson about giving specifics of folk's odd behavior when it's so wildly specific to the situation.

Kise, that was my thought too when it came to filling out the report.
Any hints on the MSC? I never see these. There are no Kroger in my state, so I am not competing, I just wonder if there is some MSC I am missing out on.

Did you purchase alcohol? I ask because as a teen, I had to step aside and have a manager check the customer whenever they entered my line with alcohol. It was a huge hassle, too, as our managers would hide in back and ignore pages.
LOL Deez,

She wasn't a teenager, not by a long shot, besides, I don't buy alcohol in grocery stores because I don't drink beer or wine, and they can't sell distilled spirits in the grocery stores here.

painfully slow for anyone else today?
I was fairly certain that I couldn't self assign anything for some reason. The shops would open but all directed me to contact the scheduler if I was interested. I sent a message but it had resolved by the time they responded so I probably sounded like a fool. But it was very odd, even by drop day standards.
The same thing happened to me

It was awful today and the check availability button which was new to me just kept flashing then the system crashed on me, so I was only able to get 7 shops today and I normally get 17-20 each month
Ya, today is pretty bad, keeps on getting unable to connect to google login at the front page, took 20 minutes til I am given access, and then the website was not really updating real time. Was definitely smoother last month tho. Maybe many people were caught off guard by the changes last round and start camping for the stores this round
I didn't have any connection problems, and the Eastern time shops that I got at 09:00 my time were smooth as a whistle. I went back to bed and dozed for a bit, got back on the computer and about 10:05 and it was just SLOOOOWWWW.. The pages would open, but not populate right away, then when they did finally populate they kept saying "checking availability" instead of giving me dates to choose.

I would open an application, let it populate, then I would check some posts on here, or look at an email, and in a minute or three it was fully populated and it showed me available dates. It took far longer than necessary, but I got all of the shops I wanted, and I thought about grabbing a couple more but decided my frustration level was high enough.

Then we went and did gas station shops all afternoon and evening.
I'm in the Midwest and it was horrible slow yesterday. It took me almost an hour to lock down the few shops that I got. I have been pretty lucky with the locations that I have visited in the past. The staff at the stores are pretty friendly and most wear their nametags, so it makes the report pretty easy.
To begin, I did not receive a notice from the scheduler concerning the posting time being earlier than the past 01:00 PM for Ohio. Fortunately, another shopper contacted me at 10:25 AM and I was able to assign some locations. Then, I also encountered problems with the CHECKING AVAILABILITY blinking on my screen. Finally, there were numerous CONTACT THE SCHEDULER replies. As that action has NEVER profited me, I ignored those stores; all are still listed.

I began accessing the Internet in Feb, of 1997 and quickly noticed a tendency to attempt to fix what is not broken. A programing acquaintance of mine once stated, that every occasion one attempts to tweek a program, the door is opened to creating problems.

I agree with other posters; Oct. worked fine for me.
