$10 Kroger Shops with overstaffing

A ton of new $10 Kroger shops recently got posted. Does anyone know what these involve or how much work they are? They added a concerning twist by mentioning they plan to overstaff the project by 10% and will only accept the first 150 completed shops.

New shops? Do you mean a new type of shop with a different msc or the new round of the same old K shops?

Oh, NVM, I see. It's a covert photo assignment without an LOA. No thanks.
These just dropped in my area today. Has anyone done them? It seems like a lot of photos and just trying to take them without people in the way would be tricky
50+ photos required for 'Negative ID' shops. Store staff has been notified that these are taking place; no LOA necessary. Budget restricted; very elevated fees are not likely.
$10 is pretty cheap last year they were with another company in the beginning pay was between $30 and $40 plus reimbursement for $5 purchase
Just saw a bunch of these drop by me for this upcoming weekend. Worth the $10?
Kroger lied to us. They promised the shops that were a lot less work and a lot more money were supposed to come back February 1st. They did not come back. They just strung us along to keep us working for very low pay on the other shops for an entire year.
vivki states--Kroger lied to us.

Bob replies--Kroger did not lie to me.

vivki continues--They promised the shops that were a lot less work and a lot more money were supposed to come back February 1st.

Bob comments--They did not promise me any work.

vikki concludes--They just strung us along to keep us working for very low pay on the other shops for an entire year.

Bob disagrees-They did not string me along. In addition, if the work:pay ratio were unacceptable to me, I would simply pass.

Just as a guess, it seems vikki is referencing the gas and pick-ups. I did not receive any word from the MSC concerning such work returning. As to the pick-ups, they did not fit my reason for the shops, but I do miss the fuels.
You are killing me Bob. I am sure you understand logic is not many peoples best friend, but there you go anyway.
Those grocery store photo shops are not the "Kroger shops" we talk about every round when they are released. I'm willing to bet money that they are similar to the pricing audits that went around through all of the MSCs this past couple of years. Which means that they are absolutely not contracted by Kroger. But I'll look at the MSC and see if it's the same thing only with pictures when I find my round toit. I spent today staring at an online auction, and spent $50+ that I don't really need to.
Sup,

My thought was that perhaps this person, as I have done in the past, was not focused on what, I consider, occurred. You are, of course, logically correct.
I am both a Kroger stock holder and shopper. I certainly want Kroger to do well as we own some of their stock and hope it has nice returns. I preferred the pick ups obviously as $30 in groceries for little work was appealing. I had issues on many shops not with the actual pick up but with placing the order- the website would not allow me to place the order and there was NO PLACE on the report to comment on this which was frustrating! When I was able to order and go to pick up, I did not find that the quality of employee performance improved despite multiple shops being performed. At one location in particular, the same young lady came out every time without a vest or name tag. She did not greet me or tell me the items were placed in the car nor did she thank me. After about 7 months of doing pick ups there, it became obvious that she was never going to meet Kroger standards. I wonder if the reports were even read as they certainly did not improve quality standards or result in compliance. As for the fuel shops, they were easy enough and the $10 fee was fine. I never found any issue with customer service however stocking was lacking in a few instances. I am not sure how many Kroger gas customers actually shop the merchandise area with soda, snacks as in my area they seldom do. As one location, I consistently found outdated price tags on snack items which results in the wrong price being charged and issues with asking the order to be redone as I was expecting the sales price reflected on the price tag and a price which was in effect after the sale had ended. There was no where on the report to comment on this also frustrating! What baffles me is why when there is an Aldi across the street from a Kroger and within 2 miles of another Kroger location it is not shopped when an Aldi 5 miles from any Kroger location is shopped. Shopping Aldi, Target and Trader Joes which are not full service grocers with deli and meat counters and really no dedicated produce associates baffles me. I have done a few of them and actually thought Kroger was wasting their money shopping such a dissimilar competitor. Local full service stores such as Meijer certainly are a direct competitor where you might find roasted chicken and service dept but not the others- still not idea how they pick competitors. I continue to do in store shops. I do most of my grocery shopping at Kroger anyway. I do not travel out of my way to do such a shop as the cost benefit when you consider travel time and gas does not add up.
If these are the ones done by a company that is typically a merchandising company, I have done them before and it is a lot of photos. Not impossible to do covertly, but not super easy, especially if it is a busy day.

I wouldn't do it for $10. I'd consider $20 if the store was close by or was going there anyway, and that's because there isn't a report associated with it - snap all the pics in the app, upload, and done.
