Eye Exam shops

I can't seem to find any.. My son hit 40, and he seems to be having trouble seeing things, unless the lighting is EXTRA bright. Which is how I fingered out that I needed glasses.

Can someone point me at an MSC that is currently doing eye exam shops? Preferably in AL, but GA or TN could work too.

I haven't seen eye exam shops for years.
There is one on gig spot every now & then around here. Pays for exam & glasses (although I'm sure you have to go with the cheapest glasses to stay within reimbursement)
We have great vision insurance so I've never clicked in to see exactly which company is offering it, and of course someone has taken the one for December already so not posted.
@Morledzep if you're able to get a prescription, you could get a cheap pair through zenni (that's the company I used, but there are a lot of others). i think a lot of the US eye glasses stores are under a monopoly which is why everything is so expensive. I'll still keep my eyes open for a mystery shop for you but I wanted to add in another option which might also save you money!
I haven't seen any shops for this. I go to the optometrist attached to the local Walmart for an inexpensive exam. There is an eyewear store at Walmart if you want or you can go wherever, you don't have to throw a fit to be allowed to choose as the optometrist is independent of that store.
I don't remember the exact company, but try either Gigspot or Isecretshop (I think Gigspot) with zip 42101. That is Bowling Green, KY. I looked just now and so not see them, but I have seen them quite often in BGKY. There is also a chain in Indiana, but that may be too far of a drive.

I did a eye exam shop in TN a little over a year ago, for eye glasses for myself. But the company is sketchy, and you never see an actual optometrist. Even the guy on the video screen that conducts your eye exam is just a technician and NOT an optometrist.

I was hoping for a shop that covers a real full exam, and at least one inexpensive pair of glasses for him. But if I have to, I'll make him an appointment at America's Best and just get the basic exam, he's young still he probably doesn't need to have his eye pressure checked.. yet
If he can get an eye exam through health insurance if he has it my son got a pair of glasses that were fine thru the mail from China a few years ago. I think they were $20.frames and lenses. Of course with tariffs now they would be more expensive.
Eyes are irreplaceable. Have your son get his eyes examined. I checked, and every America's Best eye exam includes a glaucoma test. Glaucoma testing is advised for low risk individuals starting at age 40.

Also, needing more light to see well is an early sign of cataracts. I speak from experience.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
Yea Myst, they keep telling me to wear polarized sunglasses when I'm outside. I have never liked bright lights, especially outside in the sun.

I get dizzy in bright light and heat, I don't know the cause, doctors just brush me off when I ask about it. I'm too fat, I need more vitamin D.. and a thousand other things that I'm not doing right so therefore they don't have to take me seriously or try to find out why.
