Kroger Questions

Good Morning! The new drop happened this morning, and I noticed several assignments being available at the same locations. Are we able to shop the same store more than once in a rotation? Are we able to shop more than one location on the same day?

You can shop the same-store twice in the same period. I think you can shop 4 stores in the same day plus competitor stores
They cap you at 15 visits per calendar year per store. I've never hit that and claim without worrying about it but it is possible if you strongly prefer one store in particular. But, if you can claim it, you are eligible. They prevent you from claiming shops you shouldn't.
You cannot do two shops at the same store on the same day. All of the shops must be at least 3 days apart. There should be only a total of 4 shops per location, 2 full service and 2 self-service. I don't know if they limit your ability to do all 4 of them in the same round.

I don't remember if the shop limit per day, over multiple locations, is 4 or 5, I mostly only do a max of 3 per day until it's a long distance route, then I will do 4 to avoid having to do the long drive again. What Dee said about the 15 shops at the same location per year is correct, and their calendar year resets usually in February.
Morledzep, I never realized the distinction between self and full service. Thanks for the perspective.
Typically, you can only get one self checkout and one full service at a particular store per round but that gets waived for stores that are hard to fill. And, when they added test shops,.those were treated as their own round.
In the past there was also pick up shop and gas stations too, but they were paused for the reminder of last year and we were told that they would come back in February when everything resets. With those you are not allowed to pickup and go inside on the same day one or the other but you can do a fuel stations with a pickup and a fuel station with an inside shop.
I just rechecked my schedule, and I have two full-service shops left this month at the same location.

I thought I remembered that fuel stations can't be done as the same day as an in-store shop?

Note: When the shops reset in February, we were warned today that you MUST get the name on the badge if they are wearing one. Maybe this month and next, try to document your employee names with descriptions. Because sometimes you can see that they have badge but can't read the full name through or over the counter. Let's hope we don't get tag-switching!
melg mentioning--I thought I remembered that fuel stations can't be done as the same day as an in-store shop?

Bob responds--That was not the rule in SW Ohio. I completed dozens of such combos.

melg shares--When the shops reset in February, we were warned today that you MUST get the name on the badge if they are wearing one.

Bob comments--That change would probably remove me from considering Kroger shops. My reasons are that both the meat and deli counters could prevent me from reading the tag and the names of some workers being, what I consider non traditional, to recall the spelling would not, for me, be possible.

Edited to later add: I failed to realize several important points. With very slight variance, I shop self scan; those, of course, do not have a bagger. Secondly, 4 of the stores I shop do not have either a deli or a meat case; some have one but not both. Finally, not all workers wear a tag. For me, it will only be a minor inconvenience, as opposed to a game changer.

Mostly the meat counter tags are next to impossible. If both of you are tall, maybe. The rest of us are bending over trying to read it when the slide open their side of the case to get something.
Usually the Deli Counter is okay, many wear them on the hat and I shop the same stores often enough to know all of their names from when I see them either on the floor or at the lower part of the case.
If the shops require names of Deli and Meat associates then it may be a hard pass for me. I am not going to waste my time taking a chance traveling to a store only to have shop rejected as I could not see the tag. I cannot see name tags when the associate is behind the meat or deli counter. On a recent shop, I literally went down on the floor and pretended to be tying my shoe to see if I could get the name- still although the tag was visible I could not clearly see the name as it was not a traditional name like John or Joe- some very unusual name. Worst of all the associate asked if I was alright as I was bending down and stayed there to see if I could see his tag. He thought I had fallen or that I was ill. Talk about being obvious! In one store where I shop there is a woman who wears a hoodie, a jacket and a hat and gloves- she works in the back of the meat Dept. and when no customers are asking for meat service is in the back room which misty be freezing! She has NEVER WORN a tag- and I have seen her perhaps 20 times in the past 2 years. So, if she was the one working the day and I was doing the shop seems I would have a wasted visit as I do not know her name and will never know. I think the rule is rather foolish considering the fact that the cases obscure vision. No problems getting produce and cashier names but as for the meat and deli- not possible. Strange as if an associate does not wear a tag they are considered out of uniform- in the case of the new rules it would mean the shopper was out of luck and shop rejected through no fault of the shopper. NOT FAIR!

1. I have no clue if this is actually going to be the rule
2. The poster who stated this said 'IF THEY ARE WEARING ONE', so if no tag so be it....
3. Before losing our s%$! about this let's see what guidelines are updated to in February....

I received an email with this information from a scheduler: "Beginning with the February 2026 shops, it will be important that all shoppers provide employee names, as there will be no space to enter an employee description on the new survey. This is a decision Kroger made, not us. If they aren’t wearing a name badge, that’s on them."

If they aren't wearing a tag, or you can't read it because it's covered or blocked, that's NOT your problem. Stop making the jobs more difficult than they already are.
Never got the email you received. So if employee not wearing name tag they remain anonymous? Makes no sense as if customer service smiling, eye contact greeting being assessed what good is that data without a name of employee? Will wait to see what happens in February once new program js launched.
