need to vent and also wondering what happened here

So, I really pride myself on shop accuracy. In the last 3 years of doing a lot of shops (previously just did them here and there, on and off), I've had just two rejected (one a stupid mistake on the form, the other went at the wrong time). Anway, on one company, I suddenly stopped seeing 2 types of storage shops I'd been doing a lot of (the red 3-dimensional shape ones and the energy drink one). So, I inquired about what was going on. I found out that the client requested I no longer do these because they said I had claimed on some they had not collected contact info, when in fact they had collected contact info. Here's the thing. they are first 2 different companies, so I don't understand why it's "client" and both are gone. Second, with the "Shape storage co" you give real contact info, and I have done these same locations multiple times (following rotation guidelines), so isn't it possible they still have my info in the system somemwhere? Here's the other thing though. I feel with both places they may have been on to me being the shopper (I don't really have a "generic look") and the same workers I've run into multiple times visiting the locations. I have to wonder if they figured I was the shopper after I left and possibly entered contact info, or someone from another location called and gave them a heads up the shopper was around? Also I was told that when the client saw the contact info part was incorrect, they found other inaccuracies. But what kind of other inaccuries? My photos were timestamped. They don't know what the employee actually said to me. I know what the employee's name was (because I've had them multiple times lol!), I can tell if someone is dressed accordingly etc. Anyway what do people here think? I have never had anything like this happen to me with any other shops.

It sounds like they could have spotted you as the shopper. Not your fault, but the client has the right to want different eyes on the project.

I think you are upset and want a full explanation but you aren't going to get one. I wouldn't put additional energy into this. Find the next something you enjoy doing instead.
I do have others I enjoy doing and that pay decent. But these have such a long rotation cycle and not a lot of shoppers for them in my area so they get nicely bonused. I guess I just feel sad about it lol.
I get all that. These companies are so frustrating sometimes. All you can do is ask and if they won't answer¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Maybe someone here will have a name to escalate it to.

Sometimes being removed from a project is temporary, they allow time for turnover and/or memories to fade. Probably will take longer than 3 months but people do get reinstated sometimes. Or, the client might change MSCs.
This could be considered fraud. So be careful broadcasting that kind of information in writing on a public forum. The MSCs are lurking; they may not contribute, but they are watching these forums.

Yeah I get that it might be considered fraud - Hence the “lol”. And nowhere am I saying I will do this. I’m explaining what I would have to do - conditional tense. (But then some of these editors and grammar…another pet peeve… don’t get me started…the time I was corrected once about how a complex sentence was a run on lol).

I actually realize now which location it was. There were 2 places that didn’t ask me for contact info. But one his system was down and so everything was a little off. He wouldn’t have been able to rent me anything. The other place - she had no uniform on, the desk was. a mess, she didn’t follow protocols, etc. I’ve shopped there previously lol and same story. So she probably found out I was the shopper and got my contact info from the sister location nearby, from a colleague. And probably made up other stuff to contradict me. That’s my theory.

I understand your frustration based on what you were told, but regardless they know you are the shopper so it is pointless for the MCS or the client to let you continue.
Well, their system would show the time the associate entered the contact information. So, if you truly did not give it to them during your visiting time parameters, then that would prove they lied about you. But, then again, they could continue to lie and say they wrote it down as you gave it to them and entered it later. When they actually wrote it down when their co-worker from another location gave them the information on you. However, that company also has a camera on them, with time stamp information. I know this must be so irritating.

Same company once told me they reported that I had kids in my vehicle while I was doing the shop and they were "distracted, knowing children were in the car alone." So they said that was the reason they could not do their job correctly. The MSC contacted me and told me this baloney and reminded me that these locations have cameras everywhere. I did not have children or anything in my vehicle. So, I challenged it. The District Manager looked at the surveillance and saw no children. I would never go back to that location, of course, they would instantly know who I was at that point. But I was not about to be removed for some liar's story because they got caught not doing their job.
Yes plenty of times I’ve seen them just write my info on a sticky note. Some employees enter it formally and some out write it on a sticky - no idea if they enter it later. Don’t even know if they’re supposed to. But then when they write back and said they looked at more things were incorrect at my report but didn’t even say what they were - and I have no idea what that could be. Everything would be their word against mine because that’s basically what all the questions are. The only thing concrete are about uniform and property appearance - so in that case maybe they didn’t even review cameras or we have disagreement about what messy/cluttered is.
