New BJ's Brewhouse pizza?

At this point I have more gift cards than I'll use shopping the one location near here so I might as well order takeout. Has anyone tried the new pizzas at BJs Brewhouse since they changed the deep dish and added a Detroit-style option? I generally love deep dish but never liked what they served at BJ's, which seemed like a loaf of Wonder Bread with toppings.

And yes, I know it is half-priced on Mondays!

Half-price special is gone. It's now $19.99 for a large deep-dish on Mondays.
I've never liked their pizza, crust seemed greasy. I have not tried their new ones.
The new one is better than the old one. I am bummed about Monday's, because I would get the tavern cut for $10. You cannot do that anymore.

But for $20, the new style pizza is much better than what it used to be.

Nothing wrong with having $$$ in GC for them. It's lots of free meals without the reports or gift to friends/family.

I could go to BJ's 2x per week and not get tired of it. The menu has enough variety that you can get different things. Sometimes I just do the $13 unlimited soup/salad and end up having 4 unique soups/4 unique salads with my visit. I'll give the pizookie $1 (value for me), so for $12, with 8 total soups/salads, i have it down to $1.50 each!
I just looked at the online menu for my BJ location and the only thinner crust I see is the gluten free crust. I was actually there two weeks ago. I did not look at the pizza page in the menu but if there was a new item I am sure they would have advertised it at the table. I guess they dont have the new one where I eat (yet?).
A hack for the bar visit: If you're solo you can get the Pizookie weekday $13 deal and then add chips and salsa or a house salad for $4 which takes care of the required app. You will not leave hungry!
I remember the first time I did this shop. I didn't read the guidelines correctly and thought I would get a gift card reimbursement for the amount I spent (up to $100) not a flat $100 no matter how much I spent. So my husband and I ordered more expensive items, appetizer AND dessert... we spent JUST under $100.
When I realized the truth I was so happy... I'm not a huge fan of BJ's but I'll happily do this shop and stay as low as I possibly can. Then I accumulate the extra $100 gift cards and give them as end of year teacher gifts.
I love the happy hour deals. Especially during NFL season when happy hour is offered on Sundays too.
