New Presto App

Oy vey. Here we go again. From the description it sounds way cool and trendy (not) but I'm guessing it will be full of glitches because, well, aren't they all when they're first released? And according to the example, there will be no option to see available shops in list form, hence no way to filter out that pesky roadside assistance clutter.

It does show a filters option but not sure how good it will be. The current filter doesn't work so great. i really prefer the list option, so much easier to see. That will really stink if it goes away. I don't see it in their pics but I also can't zoom in to see better.
Without the list I would miss many of the jobs. It doesn't explain what the Home button does. Hopefully that is the list.
They say that the filter option is only for filtering your assigned shops - by project, town, etc.
Presto is awful! Soooo many glitches and no customer support. I wish we could mystery shop the mystery shop companies.
I'll admit I have a love/hate relationship with Presto.

Yes, the app is very outdated with a difficult UX (user experience). I'm a web/mobile product manager for my main job and I've definitely seen better apps for design and user functionality.

However, the InstaShops are a great source of extra income for me and I have found a way to use both the website and app to get the full experience down for preparing, selecting, submitting, etc. I also do like how it shows the Sassie-powered shops and since I have accounts with pretty much all of them, I'll simply go to the MSC's Sassie-powered website and do more sign ups where needed.

Does anyone know when the new app will come out? I also wonder when the Sassie web platform will be improved? I'm guessing that comes next.

Wouldn't it be great if, after uploading 122 pictures, and you get the warning that you may have a duplicate, Presto will let you know exactly which photos are in question? Pffff, right.
I looked in the Google play store and it's showing that my Presto app is the only one available and it's fully up to date. And there isn't a different version of the app available.
I also wonder if there will be a grace period where the old version and new will both work for a while. Or is it the same app, just remade, that will force us to use it so we can work out the kinks for them.
It hasn't been released yet as of Feb 6. Hopefully they will show a release date at some point, but I'm sure there will be a forum subject posted from someone who got it as soon as they saw it available.

Guess we need to wait

Right now it is just an announcement at the top of the browser version of Presto.

I was entering the shop information on the report and, by error checked of a violation for the wrong section.
this was for a bollard that was damaged. The report asked for the photo and I submitted it. Then I did come to the bollard section and realized my mistake. I immediately went back to that section and unclicked the violation and then clicked on the "all standards met" box. The photo disappeared.
Then, I went back to the bollard section, clicked on the violation and submitted the same photo. Because I distinctly remembered all of my submitted photos, I finished the report while wondering if that photo erroneously submitted, but then disappeared would amount to a duplicate warning.
It did. The warning appeared and I went ahead and submitted.
Why? I remember doing the same thing before, without incident from the editor. And why should there be a problem?
The photo was no longer relevant, nor was the violation cited.

I'm still on the OG, and it's caused enough problems as is.

I'm waiting for the 24-hour window to open to (re)claim a handful of Famous Highway shops that cancelled out because I kept getting the down-for-maintenance message for several hours after the site opened back up.

Support was of no help, stating I was the only person in the universe (my word choice) with the issue, and providing no solutions. I had to delete the app from my phone and re-install it to get it to function.

All the locations are up to $35, so that will help offset my store purchases which were large as I used the app to put in a few pennies of gas.

I'll have a handful of other stops on tomorrow's day-long out-and-back loop, with very little time in the schedule available for app/website shenanigans.

A majority of the stops are for the Green Dino's new MSC, and I already know not to deal with their website on my phone. Their ancient page is bad enough on my laptop.

I did the update and your correct , no list form. I really dont like not have the list form option.

Be sure to send a message to tech support about it. I did, they thanked me for my feedback. But everyone needs to do it. I can use the web but the app works better with the phone. We need the list feature. impossible to find jobs using just the pins. And we need better sorting options. The sort feature was glitchy to begin with, now it just sucks.
