TEXAS ROADHOUSE: Why are these begging to be filled?

LOL HBD. Re: STK. Business and personal visits. It's beautiful, overpriced and an overrated restaurant overall. But I love it. Business during the day is most enjoyable. Dinner with your besties there are too. Love the DJs music. Definitely not for a family dinner except when it's just with my DDs.

We are not fans of the noise but have found if you go right when they open you can usually avoid the Yeehaws!

Several months ago I went with my mom and dad on an weekend.. I think it was on a Saturday at 11:15 when they first open up..

It was still loud in there.

The noise accompanies groups having a celebration. Going early on a weekend is not the same as going early on a weekday.
You can always get those foamy disposable ear plugs that some use at the gun range to do the shop. It's not that loud, but I get that some are more sensitive to noise than others. Or just wear your BOSE noise cancelling headphones and act like your listening to your favorite play list!
There are two Bubba's in the Houston area...one in Pasadena and one in Katy. The reports are similar to Texas Roadhouse. I grab one if I can find other shops close by.
I'll take both places. It doesn't have to be either/or. I try to get as many as I can at both places.

I really only like bubba's on mondays for their burger specials.

Their Monte Cristo's are really good ..
I know I have not done an TRX shop in several years but I was looking at the guidelines and I see two different things

The mass email says

Visit Requirements
• Arrive anytime from open until 1 hour before closing.
• Party size: 1–4 people total. Everyone must arrive together.
• Must be seated by a host at a table (no bar seating, no self-seating).

The Shop comments on the web site says
Texas Roadhouse Dining Room Evaluation (Please read guidelines for additional instructions.

You may not wear ear buds or headphones at all!

Wonder how come the mass email does not say this but in the shop forum it does...

I don't remember seeing that when I did my shop several years ago

So which one is it?? Yes or no or the head phones

Question

When I did my TRX several years ago, we had to call ahead and ask about call ahead seating... So we still do that or can we put our name on the TRX app,

I did not see this mention in the mass email

TIA
Pre-visit call is not required anymore
They say you can get on waitlist online.
I just make the call and talk to someone. I know you don't have to, but it's not hard and I would think they probably prefer it. Especially when the host/hostess is not asking about special accommodations or explaining how it works.

I have to limit myself so I do not fill up on rolls before my meal lol.
Lots of people are making the switch to plant-based.
We went to TXRH tonight. From experience, I knew the potato skins was a big order so we shared one combo meal and got two side salads with it. We had leftovers. With tip, we were .51 over reimbursement. Next time, we’ll go for the early bird special which is 12.99 until 5:30. We’d have been right on budget with two of those. I enjoy the 6 oz sirloin so it would have worked for me. Will try this next month.

Since the early bird is only offered in the restaurant, I did not see it listed on line. I could have missed it bringing up the regular menu. I read that not all locations have it.
I have no issue with the food or the food prices, so I occasionally eat there on my own dime. Like most sit-down restaurant shops, the job fee is too low for the shop requirements and report narrative. The noise does not bother me as long as I can hear and understand the employees. I think the customers make more noise than the music. I only shop them if they are part of an assigned road trip.
Reimbursement only isn't going to appeal to everyone. And it's a bummer that prices have ratcheted up while the reimbursement hasn't.

BTW, my kid said their rolls are legally classified as cake in other countries. So much sugar... Which is why they are yummy. But him saying they are cake made me slow down on them.

I also occasionally eat there on my own dime.
But why should I? I can almost always find one of them to be shopped.
Their report is one of the shortest to fill out. Never takes me more than an hour.
So that’s $45-50 for an hour’s work. (Taking notes while I’m eating rarely distracts me, so I don’t count that.)
"never takes me more than an hour?" you mean never takes more than 15 minutes and probably never more than 10 minutes.

I like filling some of it out at the table when waiting for entrees. I'm talking about clicking yes/no questions. I'm not trying to do narrative on 5" screen while sitting at the table.
True. Makes my point even more valid.
