New B-Dubs Shops

Some of you are talking about a Wing shop and some of you are talking about another place that pays with GC and has a cookie dessert. The wing shop that I saw mentioned a separate receipt for the guest.

BWW has the cookie dessert as well. Also, the guidelines have been updated and it appears there is not separate receipt verbiage
Yeah, they changed some stuff. Looks like they dropped the restriction about your guest needing their own receipt and now allow the promos like pick 6. It's still a downgrade in pay and I think I saw a restriction on using points to get free stuff?

I much prefer the other deal and managed to get one for early March but there aren't as many locations or dates offered as I would normally see. ☹️
i saw $30 with NO Pay. Then I saw $30 with $5 pay. That could be better than the 5g msc that does $35 with no pay. If you stay at $30 or below, you can make $5...not that you will get rich off that, but making $5 is better than making NO dollars with relatively the same reimbursement amount.

The not using the BWW rewards is tough if you go to a place that you frequent once a month and they already know you are a BWW account holder. What are you supposed to say "I don't want to use it this time." That looks awfully lame.
Girly,

BWW does have a cookie dessert, if you buy the pick-6 meal then you can get the cookie with icecream, whipped cream, and a fudge drizzle for $3.99.

I almost got one the last time, but when I cut open the cookie and it was still raw in the middle my stomach turned and I couldn't eat any. But I did get all the whipped cream with my spoon..
I liked the cookie and wiped off all the whipped cream, so next time we should just split one @Morledzep smiling smiley

Do the guidelines tell you that you can't use your rewards account at all? One of the best things about that shop type is getting those points on top of the pay.
There are attached guidelines within the report.

"Buffalo Wild Wings has a rewards program. These can NOT be used during your mystery shop as it may reveal you as a shopper."

I don't see how your BWW rewards acct would reveal anything other than you like the food. Is BWW marking you as a shopper in some hidden profile?

yes, the 5g msc doesn't prevent you from using acct. I don't know if the clown bar audit MSC (that is really slow to pay) allows you to use your rewards account.

The 5g msc even has question(s) about the server mentioning to you the rewards program. I really hope it stays with the 5g msc because I'm not about to do a shop for no points and no BOGO when i need that BOGO tuesday wings to stay within the $30

They have an "add a receipt/past visit" feature in the rewards account center on the website, so you can get the points.
@boridi

Yes, i know how to get points from visits if not used at the restaurant. You missed the point that you don't get the BOGO on tuesday wings WITHOUT the account being used. So you are paying more for the same food you would get from the other MSC that allows you to use the bww account.

My complaint is not about earning rewards. My complaint is that I cannot get BOGO tuesday deal if I do not use my account.

Five Guys has a rewards program?
The convo is about a wings place where three different MSCs currently offer shops. The reference was only to clarify which one
I thought it had to be wings with an entree and beverage, which would be hard pressed to get under $30.
You can get a 6 piece traditional wings for $12 roughly. Then a soda or beer would put you around $20 after tax.

You can make it work if you put the effort in. It is better with the 5g msc because you can use your rewards and go on tuesday and get 12 wings for $12 instead.
Besides the Tuesday deal the rewards program periodically offers various freebies. Last month I had a free burger with $15 purchase on my account which I was able to use on a shop. I calculated the tip on what it would have been if I'd paid for the burger, and happily the Five Guys MSC is not one of the MSCs that tries to limit the tip amount. I am joining the chorus of those who are not interested in this shop if the benefits of the rewards program can't be used.
@NinS

i used that same free $15 on my account too. I love using offers allowed to use. I know some clients don't allow discounts. Like even Panda Express and TXRH. But both those places pretty much covered the required purchase with their reimbursement.. The wings at BWW need the BOGO discount applied to make it affordable.
No option to use BWW rewards to save through either account promotions or the BOGO offer is a pass for me!
What are you talking about Jewel? I do BWW shops all the time. I got my birthday wings, and we did the BOGO traditional wings just a couple weeks ago. I wait for them to bring up the rewards, and if they don't then I add the receipt to get my points. But if they ask, I give them my number, and I use the rewards and benefits. And I report all of it.
The new "sassie" msc offering the shops does not allow you to use the rewards. So if you can't use the rewards, you can't get BOGO either.

The 5g msc allows it. The sassie msc that just now started posting does NOT allow it.
There is one other company that offers these shops. They are a shopmetrics company. $15 pay and $30 for lunch & $45 for dinner...
Can use rewards. Must buy alcohol at dinner, but not lunch. Must buy wings (any kind) and ANY other item. A decent amount of narrative required, but not anything I'm bi$%@ing about.... company pays on time without being chased & available to answer questions so I'm REALLY hoping they aren't going to lose the contract in my area.

Wow...there are that many? I was aware of Sassie msc bar audit that is a slow paying msc. I was are of 5g msc starting up the dining room ones about 6 months ago. I just saw the new version with this another sassie msc that won't let you use the rewards and first started off saying you had to get a separate check and all these specific order requirements. I was not aware that a shopmetrics msc is involved too.
The bulk of the BWW shops I've done have been on the Shopmetrics MSC. I think I pissed someone off on the Sassie MSC because when I saw that they had "pay" and a "bonus" I thought I wouldn't mind going without my son some time, but all of the dates are gray, so telling the scheduler that I don't work for free makes me a bad guy and therefore excluded from doing the shops at all.

Well- I decided to try one and did a BWW shop today. I have to say the Skillet Cookie was far better than any I have ever had at BJs. I was surprised. The cookie was well-cooked and even a little carmelly and crunchy on the edges.
Family had it on Sunday. Can't beat the $3.99 price, but I don't think it's better than BJ's. I like the variety of flavors BJ's has.
Your location only charged $3.99 for the skillet cookie? I just did a shop with all sorts of major problems and this time the cookie I was charged $7.99 for did indeed come totally raw inside and burnt outside (and I like cookie dough but this was gross). I would have complained but the server disappeared for 30 minutes.

Yeah I ordered to cookie skillet as well and it was $7.99. It was just ok.
Nins, the cookie skillet at BWW is $3.99 when you get the Pick 6 dinner special.
I would never pay for the BWW cookie at full price. With the 2 for $20 (pick 6 deal), then I add the $3.99 cookie on. That's about all it's worth to me.
Does the new MS require a purchase of the cookie skillet?
Jewel- No , it is not required, But if you are getting the pick six for only 19.99 you can get it for 3.99. You might end up going a few bucks over with the tax and tip, but still a good deal for 2 people.
