Did anyone else get this invite?

Hello April!

We have an exciting invitation exclusively for you! MS Scheduling is happy to announce that you have been selected by Measure Consumer Perspectives to participate in our Open Beta Global Job Board. This will be a very short window of opportunity to get ahead of the pack.

You were selected among hundreds of thousands of shoppers as a candidate to participate in the Open beta launch of The Mystery Shopping Job Boardtm . We are officially inviting you to log in to the board at [www.msjobboard.com] and see how a single job board will simplify your ability to find and apply for jobs. Multiple clients on one job board, where you can search for many shops from multiple clients with one login, to one page.

When you login to the website, you will see a short video taking you through an overview of the website. Once you have watched the video, please feel free to play around so that you can see everything our new website has to offer. Our one goal is to make your daily practices with Mystery Shopping easier. With a one-stop website could it get any better?? We are very eager to get any opinions you have to improve your experience. So please do not hesitate to use our feedback link available on every page of the job board.

Thank You,

Which was amusing because existing log ins did not work and once I registered there was no video. Yes, I could see the leftover Shopmetrics jobs in my area. I suspect this is Shopmetric's version of SASSIE's Jobslinger.
I logged in, registetred and surfed around. The site has a mapping feature which is pretty cool butonly if enough MSCs participate in the site. If it starts listing all new shops for enough different companies, I'll love the map paer for help with route developement.

"Finally, whatever things are good, true, noble, lovely, of good report...if there be any virtue, if there be any praise...think on these things." ....It's a command, not a suggestion!
I just got it and filled it out, quite interesting as they have "sister links" for other companies. I don't know if it will bring new jobs, I didn't see any at this time.

I could not bring up the "terms of service" so I didn't sign up. I was too skeptical.
I was creeped out because of my spam filters warning, but I did look around. Wonder if it will catch on. Thanks for the input everyone!

I agree with Flash - it appears to be a Shopmetrics version of Jobslinger but I'm all for anything that shortens job hunts. All I could see were jobs from Measure and I already do work for them in the area. The map feature is nice in that you can adjust the area you want to see listings in. It works well for me since I do boonies shops in my area with considerable bonuses attached. Not too many companies have them so this may provide some fill-ins when I do a route. Anyway, I'm hoping. Nothing looks too "unsafe" about it but comments welcome.
This is a beta version, and we who were sent the email are able to test it out. Remember. it asks you to leave comments on what you like and don't like. What features are beneficial, etc. on the website.

I wasn't sure if this was a spoof or not. I sent an email to MCP, and got word it's legit. I signed up, no problem. Watched the web tutorial, no problem. I will give feedback on enhancements.

Just remember it is still in the early stages, more tweaks to come. I like it so far, and hope more companies use this new avenue for us shoppers.

I got it and do lots for the company. However, I pretty much ignored this - stuck it in my "someday" folder.
I also believe it is Shopmetrics version of Jobslinger. Just remember, you are testing and evaluating something for free. Some companies pay big bucks to developers to do the same thing.
I got it, but couldn't figure much out. Gee, we are all selected from the hundreds of thousands of shoppers, aren't we? (Kind of reminds me of someone selling something from a "limited supply" and when that runs out there happens to be another limited supply in the back room.) Couldn't get the video to work, and I assumed this would be a pay for site.

You make it sound like we're being exploited. I don't see it that way.

Many companies roll out beta versions to limited numbers of their userbase (Google comes to mind). It's not unusual, this way doing it. They want feedback from average end users, not paid developers who may or may not think like typical shoppers. The developers have had their hands in it, and now it's time for the site to go live, but not time for them to open the floodgates.

There is no cost for this, nothing of that was mentioned. I like that they're putting up other links, makes searching for jobs easier. I see them more as a scheduling Co. doing a service for MSC's and a good way for them to get shoppers, giving us an easier service, what's the harm?

I received this email and several others. I had problems trying to actually figure out if it was a scam.

When I replied requesting further information, I was sent an attachment, which I was afraid to open.

I may fill it out after reading the forum.
Something that will help you and others weed out scams is Web of Trust. It's a community-powered service which lets users rate websites on their safety and other criteria. There is a browser extension which provides an icon next to any links. Green means safe, yellow means caution, red means bad, grey means unknown.

Some MSC sites show up as questionable, but most give me the green light. When you see a site show up as something other than green, but you know it is legitimate, you can add your rating to help them out.

You can learn more about them at [www.mywot.com]

It's especially useful on Facebook for spotting those wonderful click-jacking posts that make their way across peoples' walls.

The msjobboard.com is legit. We (ACE Mystery Shopping) use Shopmetrics and at this time, during the BETA period, some of Shopmetrics MSPs are using the universal job board and it pulls live from our job boards, unlike jobslinger which is not 'live' updated. I'm not sure when they full site will be ready though.

I can't get it to accept my location in the settings. I fill it all out and then...Nothing. I reported it.

Hi TechSavvy!

Did you try to click on the My Coverage and input it then?

Yes, I did. I filled in my location data and clicked the green submit button, and then nothing happened. It's like it isn't registering my clicks.

I reproduced the issue using the latest Chrome, IE and Firefox. It could be something weird with Windows 7 on my laptop (no!). I will try a different PC.
I just tried using my Android phone's Dolphin HD browser... Same issue. I forgot to mention that nothing but white space shows in the large center area where I assume a map should be visible. I'm not running NoScript or anything else that would block content.
I like the "live" aspect of it. Often on jobslinger the shop isn't available after all. Wastes my time!

Goodness Techsavvy! I don't know what the problem could be. :-(

The funniest part about this for me is that I stumbled across this site months ago and signed up. But I still got the e-mail asking me to sign up for it.
I got it. I could not log in. Deleted it.
I did it and the map etc was ok. But there were only 6 mmystery shopping links and those companies did not have any shops available in my area. So I did not find it helpful.
You never know when shops will appear. I've learned it pays to check because MSCs can surprise you!
tried logging in with FB was able to input my account... nothing... then tried logging in with a different email... got an error sign both times...

guess you need the email... oh well... i just do ritter anyway...

shopping north west PA and south west ny
lbarlbar, the terms have been fixed, (if I remember correctly, there was a bug in the javascript that got fixed.)

The good news, Carol, is that the MSJobBoard is a free service! Like a few here have said, we're just testing it out right now.

Hi TechSavvy, Are you still having problems with "My Coverage?" I'm happy to help. If you Are, send me an email at aeding@shopmetrics.com. Bugs are getting fixed and noticed all the time, but if it hasn't yet, I can probably just change your coverage for you until the bug is fixed.
