Issues with mystery shopping

Having recently done a slew of apartment standards audits for Grace Hill (I try to snag every geographically feasible one I can), I was reminded of one of my biggest peeves:

Shopmetrics-based job notification emails are totally useless.

Thanks for reminding me I have to log in to the MSC's site only to find there's nothing currently in my area*.

Say what you will about all the other MSCs, at least their job solicitations are clearer so we may work more efficiently.

*I'm looking at you, Coyle

Ipsos. With all of their lies, inconsistencies, distain for shoppers, arrogance, unaccountability and frivolity, they pretty much cover every one of my pain points.

I'd add (not) InTouch, Alta/360 Relay, Cirrus, and Grace Hill/Ellis to that list.

To the OP, I agree with A and C.
Along with decrease in pay and tons of questions for a simple visit, I would also add in using the same shops for most occasions, having meals that only cover reimbursements, and not having the instructions until you're assigned with the job.

I routinely request guidelines if looking at something new (been burned in the past by "super easy"). Had one company that would not send them, can't remember who, as I didn't pursue the job.

I agree. That's like asking someone to buy something without knowing the price...

I noticed that too. The pay to go to a grocery store and purchase meat from the deli just went down from $7 to $5. No thanks!

My cat wont even eat that...

ok based on the topics I've decided to put a couple things together 1) rating system so we can all rate MSPs 2) An earnings tracker so we can track what money is owed and for how long. Will make it much easier to track we're actually paid!!! Anyone want to help with creating the ratings? I'd assume this would be a free resource to all shoppers.

I offered a detailed reply to a similar posting in another thread. Hope it helps.
I knew there was something else. Maps! Don't tell me the miles as if I owned a helicopter. If they can do those miles based on our address they can also generate driving miles as well. I am not talking estimated drive time, but just driving distance.

I believe the reasons they don't, is to cram more jobs into a given radius. To make it look like more work is closer. I live next to a lake. Some jobs are double the driving miles if your boat is not ready to go.

Miles as the bird flies could be easily made into miles as the car drives. For some, it is probably the same reason the don't have a dedicated app (no, Sassie on the phone is not an app). They don't want to develop it themselves or pay someone else to do it.

Sassie on the phone sux!

Got two things covered there, I feel better.
