Nike $10 reimbursement

I saw a new shop for Nike. It has a $10 max reimbursement and no pay. This is a new low race to the bottom. With gas prices, it would cost $10 in gas just to get there. Why would anyone do this shop?

This shop has been around for quite some time now in my area and always gets taken. I don't understand who would do this.
They usually a whopping $3 as shop pay here. So that almost covers the cheapest thing in the store which is always $14.99. I did one a few months ago as my son needed socks, and I was in the store for 25 minutes. The report asked me how I got done with the shop so fast? Er, em, huh?
I once worked in a mall and did a Victoria's Secret shop for $8. All I had to do was walk into the store, ask for a catalog, and report back if they gave me one. An easy $8 (with inlfation $20 now).
I had to pay out of pocket when I did the Nike shop as there is nothing in the store for $10. I bought socks that I did not need and had to pay the difference. You have to stay a minimum of 20 minutes or a message pops up that you did not stay long enough in the store.
Some, no many, of these shops are absolutely insane. I did a different Nike one which was an online order and return. I dont remember what the fee was but whatever it was I would probably do it again if the fee was $100 in today's dollars. It took me days and was much more involved than even those lucrative financial shops with less screenshots for hundreds of dollars in pay.
Just wait until it has a good bonus

I've done a few of these over the years, it is a lot of repetitive/redundant information, and yes, days to do the shop. I grabbed them after I had knee surgery since they were something I could do without having to leave the house.
oh, for those wondering who might do these shops - a parent with kids in sports!
I don't like to work for reimbursement only, especially $10 at a store I know won't have anything within that amount, but I can see where someone might take it and consider it a "discount" on a purchase that they are going to make anyway.

I do try to hit up my local thrift store or Play It Again Sports for some of my kids' equipment like a pair of football practice pants, but if my daughter needs running shoes for cross country or track, that's not something I would get used.
I saw those shops and was wondering what in the world I would buy at a Nike store for $10. One shoelace perhaps?
If you were headed to the Nike store to intentionally buy an item, then you can view it as a $10 coupon. They don't seem to sell shoelaces. The lowest price men's socks in the full price Nike store is $22. I think the women's socks were less, around $18.50?
I wait until it gets bonused to at least $17 and preferably to $25 (fee and reimbursement combined). The brand is expensive! The report is easy enough.
