Has anyone seen the new Kia shops? Not with the MSC where we did the test drives, the MSC that has all of the electronic shops has them now and they are not test drives. They want you count how many 2027 Tellurides are on the lot and takes pics of up to 10 window stickers, including the one in the showroom WITHOUT interacting with a sales person. Good freaking luck! Have they ever walked into a show room or dealer lot in their lives? I mean maybe if I go on a really busy Saturday I could pull it off but I would need someone to be a decoy.
But wait! There's more! After you take 10 sticker pics for that model, you need 10 pics of the next model listed. And so on and so on. And get the online prices for all of them per each individual VIN. Sounds like a multi-day project to me.
When I first read it, I thought most of the pictures (outside lot) might be doable on a Sunday when the dealer is closed, but NOPE--dealership has to be open.
I love some of the usernames on this forum. Above I see antipopbritt! LOL I also see whysostupid a lot. It seems when whysostupid likes a post, it makes me laugh so hard. Sorry, I got off topic!
It can go up to $360, and I wouldn't take it unless they give me the right to reveal. There's no way I could shoot all those pictures without being seen and having to lie about why I am doing it. I don't like awkward feelings.
Has anyone done one of these? While certainly not enjoyable, I think I could do one without that much trouble. Maybe they've reduced the number of required photos. It looks like about 10 to 20 photos on site. While the guidelines do state that the dealership must be open during your visit, they don't specifically state that the visit must start when it is open. I'm thinking I could start before the sales department opens and complete most of the work on the lot. Then when it opens just go inside to finish the Telluride count.
Nope. Walking/standing for an unknown length of time on a hard surface could be bad. ! Would it be less time-consuming to photograph each sticker and the make of each car and basically keep moving? Easy enough later to enter data for each type... unless data entry is one car type followed by another... (Who dreams up these shops?!) What could be wrong with LOA and audit status?
I was considering it when they went up to $75 and reduced the number of photos but someone else grabbed them all. I see a few in neighboring states at $80 now but too far for me.
I wouldn’t be too upset about it, still not worth it IMO. I picked one up at $80 and gave it a shot this morning. Didn’t take long before I abandoned it, though, lol. The number of photos isn’t bad now, but I found it impossible to capture good photos. And the guidelines clearly state all information must be legible in the photos. No way that was happening for me. It was very sunny and the amount of glare was ridiculous.
Same here. The bonus went high enough for me to try, and try I did. Took about 10 photos of one sticker just trying to get a good one but the glare was too bad. Maybe at a different time of day, but who knows. (All's I could see was my reflection in the window, lol)
