Big Green Dino Turds!

I just realized I responded incorrectly in the Green Dino Dilemma thread I started.

I sit corrected, and I'm embarrassed to say I didn't fully grok the Sassie connection when initially responding, and just happened to find the shops on the *owner* site (Supreme Court Justice), as opposed to the *owned* site which cannot be named because it's the same.

Though my dilemma is now solved, this whole thing gets a bigazz WTAF?!?!?

The shops on the *owner* site are self-assignable with reports due by noon the following day. Absolutely perfect for a route shopper like myself.

Same shops are on the now Otter-less app for the same fees, but with a 12-hour window for accepting and completing. Absolutely imperfect...

Same shops on the owned site are paying $5 less and you have to suffer through a horrible online experience with shops due by midnight (actually 3AM according to the scheduler). Absolutely no longer acceptable...

If it's the same scheduler for both owner and owned companies we are talking some major BS.

If it's different schedulers that's even more major BS in my book.

I’m also confused. I also have them showing up as insta shops in the otter app as well.
Okay. Now they’re not showing up on Supreme Court justice site, but I have insta shops assigned for today. Do you think two people are assigned? If I do the insta, and someone else claims on the site, who gets paid? Are they obligated to pay double? I hope so.
FWIS, visiting the Supreme Court on SASSIE is the only way to go moving forward, regardless of any individual shopping strategies. The report is identical and the entire process is the most shopper-friendly of the three.

The company that removed the Otter paid some massive $$$ to create an app that borders on useless compared to doing the same report via web browser.

The website that we cannot name is fittingly a dinosaur. I love whenever the stock photo of the office worker with the desk-sized color CRT monitor would show up. As has been pointed out elsewhere, I don't think IT has touched that site in over 20 years.

While the report formatting is not as good as it is on SASSIE, it is not as horrible as my least favorite, EPMS. But it is beyond freaking slow. My MO became to play online poker while cranking in reports.

I think there are glitches across the three sites. I had a location claimed on the owned site that wound up being snagged by someone else Instantly. And some that went away on the owned site before I could book them were available Instantly while I was on the route.

I've got four booked tomorrow with the Supreme Court... we'll see if they go glitch free.

Just finished my reports, and my oh my do I have a new appreciation for SASSIE vs that dinosaur site.

I especially like how all the possible checkboxes for violations are exposed and then "undeploy" when you click the "Yes" response. Being able to continue to enter data while pix load into the report is so beautifully efficient compared to the other site taking it's own sweet time before allowing ANY more data to be entered. Breezed through my reports in relatively no time.

The only issue remains the SASSIE version's penchant for using red fonts all over the damned place. My M. Ed. covers this type of thing and that is one of the biggest no-no's in the biz. We've been trained our entire lives that red means stop, or there is an issue. As the only SASSIE site that employs the color scheme, it's problematic. Every little nanosecond our brain is thinking there might be an issue adds up to time wasted.

But the turd parade continues. After completing the reports for the 4 I did yesterday I popped back in to the job board to suss out my next possible excursion. Whereas there had been dozens when I put this current out-and-back together, now there are none, and none on the instant assign map.

Logged into the dinosaur site to check there, and because it takes so long to load a single page of poorly organized and unsortable information I came here to post this.

Aaaaaand there is nothing there either. Will be interesting to see what transpires.

They are still showing available on Sassie in my area, but with no dates available to select them. They are probably going to be kicking themselves for taking this project once they realize that they are often in remote areas with no other jobs for shoppers to route, and they will have to pay a fortune to get the remaining locations done.

Is there a way to search by radius of zip code on the dinosaur site a la most other platforms? It's been so long since I've done work for them that if I knew at one time, I've forgotten now. Can't find anything about it on their prehistoric site. I can see stuff in my immediate 30-mile area and it is nothing that interest me. Don't worry, Cool your area's safe, I don't go THAT far!
What are you people talking about? "Supreme Court".

:-D

Friends don't let friends use the dinosaur site. You have to put in ZIP codes and specify a 50-mile radius only to get a list that is un-sortable and organized by city name. Combined with ridiculously slow page loads and having to wait for the site to log every single click on a radio button and I cannot believe how much time I wasted when I could have gone elsewhere for the same exact shop.

You have to go the Supreme Court route unless you are snagging them instantly on a map.

MSC initials = a recently deceased justice

There is a semi-incestuous relationship between the gas brand and the MSCs involved that we cannot identify anything directly by name.
