I did the survey. Personally, I like the shops. They asked what you would change and I discussed the problem with asking for two separate debit card receipts when only one is given.
Speaking of surveys, I often listen to NPR and sometimes they say reference a recent (mystery shopping company name) poll about what people are thinking on a subject. I wonder if those polls are as badly worded as some mystery shopping instructions. I'm pretty sure that data is all kinds of skewed.
I stopped doing them last year when the process got out of hand and the editors couldn't get their acts together or stories straight. So thats my survey result - I voted with me feet and my time...elsewhere.
The food/restaurant ones are easy. Stay away from bars that don’t serve food (no menu), and drive-thru convenience stores, unless they have a regular store area you can walk in to. The trick is to make sure they have a posted or printed price *Somewhere*.
