People not snagging Kroger shops

Back in the Stone Age when another company had the contract I used to do a ton of Kroeger shops. Then my life changed and I cut back drastically on my MSing in favor of other ways to supplement my income. A few years ago, when I restarted my MSing/merchandising/etc, I again found the Kroger shops. I opened up the guidelines and shop questionnaire, and I found pages and pages and pages of guidelines and question after question after question on the shop form. Oh btw, the pay hadn't increased at all since I last did these shops almost 15 years ago. I calmly closed the tabs on my laptop containing the shop guidelines and shop form, and I have gladly declined all Kroeger shops.
I know that they are popular, and that there are probably many shortcuts that one can learn, many hacks, and I'm sure that when you get the routine down you can spend minimum time in the store. But I'll pass.

I disagree with several of the teacher's comments.

1-14 yrs.ago, and according to my log, I was paid $5+$9 by the other MSC.
2-Today's shops have reports that are slightly shorter than the other MSC.
3-Guidelines exist to GUIDE one through a successful completion. They are not, in my opinion, inordinately lengthy.

This post is NOT to convince anyone these jobs are for all. They work for me to defray travel expense and fly off the board for many other shoppers. A big plus for me is that I am not required to shoot a dozen pics, for which I am not compensated, any of which can cause the work to be rejected.
All went well for today's selections. This is either the 4th or 5th consecutive rotation with nary a hitch. As long as a programmer does NOT start fiddling with what is working, Kroger assignments are set.

I am guessing the shops did not fly off the board for me today, was that some folks thought it would be next week. I do not ever recall me being able to assign my preferred dates for all shops.
Bob,

I thought it was wonderful and efficient scheduling ideas that made it so easy today.. winking smiley.

Last weekend I laid out which days I wanted to go to which city, and I just followed my calendar and got all of the shops I wanted on the days that I wanted, and I found a new one that I've never been to before. It's gonna be fun this round.. and I may eliminate one of the stores that I really dislike going to if this new location works out.
Howard inquires--The shops are already posted?

Bob responds--In the Eastern time zone, 174 posted at 09:00 daylight time; at Noon, there were still 112 available. Predicated upon the past, the only explanation is that many folks were unaware of today's posting.
I got everything I wanted locally today, the first time in three months! One bonus, thanks to a glitch... I had to refresh my list page a couple of minutes in and to my surprise, two local competitor shops showed up that hadn't been there at the first drop.
I am a huge bargain shopper, so the Kroger shops are perfect for me. Every Wednesday when the weekly ad changes, I make a list of all the big bargain items. Then I look at the coupons and clip them to my shopper card. This week, ground beef is $4.99 a pound (80% lean) plus I have a coupon for $1.50 off. Charmin tissue has a $7 off coupon. Wine is 25% off if you buy 6 bottles. Ribs and T-bone steaks are on special in the meat department, so that's what I will buy. We generally eat whatever is on sale. I'm willing to drive up to 40-50 miles if I can find 3 Kroger shops plus one or two others on the way. The shop goes fast, but choosing my own groceries means that I easily spend 30 minutes in each store. I just selected 14 stores this morning. Two are in a town 65 miles away, but they have a bonus attached plus I found an oil change shop in the same town that pays $50 plus the cost of the oil change. Admittedly, the Kroger shops are not as lucrative as they were when we had pickup and gas shops, but they're still worth it for me.
PSE, I snagged eight of them today and thought I was overdoing it a bit! But I'll probably grab a few more that come up if someone has to reschedule or cancel. I will often do two (and have dabbled with three) locations in the same area on the same day. I'm usually scouring for manager's specials anyway even if not doing a shop, so my visits to Kroger aren't really that much different after adding in the shop requirements.
Duplicate post, sorry.
