We didn't ID because...

I recently did a tobacco/age verification shop, I've done tons of them. Didn't get carded, which has happened a few times. However, yesterday I got a call from the MSC about the shop (which was two weeks ago) saying that the customer claims I'm a frequent shopper of that location and that's why I wasn't card.

Funny thing, I've never been to this town (30 miles away from my home), obviously never been to that gas station before, and I'm not even a smoker. I never buy cigarettes unless it's for shops and I haven't done the same location twice so far! The person from the MSC seemed cool with it. Hopefully nothing comes back again...

I'd do these, non reveal though, but haven't seen any here. What do you do with the cigarettes if you're not a smoker? XD

Its the location trying to get out of it. Just report back to the MSC what you have just posted...winking smiley

I help my grandma out with her habit...:-( sometimes I feel bad about it, but I don't think she's going to quit anyways.

I did let them know exactly this. I could just sense the moment she started telling me their story, they were trying to get out of it.

wow... so i guess because you look like someone else gives them the right not to card? what pos...

honestly i hope everyone that fails gets fired... i am down to 2/3 failing now... and everytime i go i get a different person... so there might be some fall out...

there is no excuse to sell to people with out proper ID...

My thoughts exactly. No excuse.

I've heard about MSC/companies trying to get out of reports/paying, and I'm not saying I don't believe it, but it just hadn't happened to me yet.

Same thing happened to my husband last week. It was an alcohol purchase shop, and the gas station tried telling the MSC that my husband was a frequent shopper in that store, and that the clerk knew him, so that's why he wasn't carded. Too bad we live over 45 minutes from that location, and it was the first time my husband had done the shop, only because it was bonused to $50. Told the scheduler this, and he hasn't heard back, so I guess the cilent knew the gas station was lying and trying to cover their rear ends.
