Can't pass the quiz....

Saw a Radio Shack job being offered. Said I needed to pass the quiz at 100%. I carefully printed off and read the requirements. There were 3 questions that I swear are not outlined in the study guide. I got an 83%, tried again, another 83%. tried a third and last time and got a 50%!!!

I am frustrated because these three questions are literally NOT specified anywhere in the study guide. I've spent almost an hour reading and re-reading the 5 page guide and nowhere does it mention these 3 items.

Guess I won't be doing this shop. The pay wasn't great but I am really bothered that I can't find the answers

I've been through that with SQM and their level steps, can not get through step 5 and gave up. I know they have trick questions, if you ask the scheduler to help, that might work. Has nothing to do with your ability to do the shop, but is a PITA.

If this is the MSC that I beleive it is you can go back and request the shop again and it will give you 3 more chances to pass the quiz. I hope this helps and good luck and good shopping.

I just don't understand how it can expect you to answer a very specific question that is not even referred to in the study guide. And it's one of those questions where you can answer A, B, C, D, both A & B or both C & D. I hate those trick type of questions.

I'm giving up. Not worth the $7!!!!

I agree and know the MSC, no 7.00 isn't worth the hassle.

I had that problem with one MSC. I had left the guidelines open in one window while taking the test in another. I contacted the scheduler because I was sure I had answered all questions correctly. He took a look an overrode the program.

I've emailed about 'trick' questions twice before - explaining that I believe I understand the question and stating what I believe the answer to be and why. Both times the scheduler did something and suddenly I had passed the test. They're really just looking for confirmation that you read the guidelines so I believe that's why they did that. Agree that it's not worth the hassle for a $7 shop though.

I know which one you mean - let me guess the FIRST question and what to say when you are not purchasing the product? That is not specified anywhere in the guidelines of what to do? I have one more chance to take it and again I'll do it with the page open and the test open but I think that there is something really wrong in that program.

When ever I have a problem with a test, I just call the scheduler. Most times, it has been one wrong answer.

I have found numerous test where there are questions that are never addressed in the study materials. For the most part, I figure it out, but sometimes it means I've wasted a lot of time re-reading the materials again and again. It's not really that difficult to make sure your questions are covered in a study guide, so I'm pretty annoyed with the companies that do this. They have such high expectations of the shoppers' reports, but they present themselves in a less than professional way.

fc c I agree with you. I took that test twice and got 50% twice. Some of the answers are NOT in the guidelines. They don't tell you which ones you got wrong. Has anyone taken it and passed it. Maybe they could enlighten us. I'm so glad you posted this. I Thought I was really stupid.

SpyGirl -- I find many of these companies have people representing them that are less than professional and competent. I also find that any company that cannot and/or will not have a website that operates properly on current web portals or have all reporting features working less than professional and not worth of my time and energy. Then they wonder why they have such a hard time getting their shops assigned and completed.

Question number 5 has the question with 3 choices. None of the choices are correct and the answer is not in the guidlines. I tried all three two different times. Flunked that one.
