Seriously, the frog looks like it really is in the bag. It's a harmless hoax. People make the photos just for fun.

The ones that are superimposed or combine parts of several pics are done in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. I've done some myself, and some of them take hours of great patience and skill. Then they become an art form, like the winners of the contests at www.worth1000.com. But I'm not sure what your question is? Is it that you don't see the humor in them?

That frog is cute. I have frogs and toads in my "garden". My garden consists of many potted plants and a half oil barrel "pond". I really like those animals. The idea that one would get in my lettuce was interesting, even though it was fake. It's better than the spider's web that the restaurant at Sea World had on my lettuce in my salad one time.

I like the airplane picture sneakers.

Sorta like the whale jumping over the Golden Gate Bridge picture. :-)

My hubby does graphics for CD covers. He gets into some pretty awsome stuff.
Had one artist want him to make the artist look thinner...LOL!! He did it but it took some doing.

He uses Corel Draw and Paint for his graphics.

Digital graphic editing is done on every pic you see in ads and probably everywhere else. Does your husband ever create pics for fun?

You can take the airplane pic; I don't copyright them. In Paint Shop Pro, I remove the background of a pic, make a transparent background, then layer it on top of something else. The one with the snow globe is composed of many separate images, all layered, then joined into a whole

He calls his graphics fun sneakers. He does a lot of "overlay" in CD graphics. He calls it overlay and would call what you are doing "overlay"

He starts out with a transparent CD cover. Then produces pictures, graphics and some necessary stuff that HAS to go on a CD cover. It works the same for the lay out pages. Starts with a clear page or a transparent page and adds pictures, graphics. What ever the client wants can be done.

For a CD project there are some things that have to go on every CD or cover pages. Once he gets them squared away, then he can drag and drop what ever suits the client.

In PSP it's called layering, Photoshop has a diff name. Graphics editing programs work pretty much the same way with diff terms. There are also many ways of manipulating the pics with diff effects, etc. Then there's standard photo editing techniques like contrast, lightness, color correction, sharpening, etc. I belonged to the group about a year, and didn't learn even 1/10th of the program. Had a dispute with the moderator and left.

In my shopping photos I use either PSP or Irfanview to brighten up or crop my pics. Irfanview has fewer options, but for cropping it's fine.

I use Corel to manipulate my pics and edit was needs to be edited. And I pretty much like Microsoft Picture editing too.

What he means by "overlay" is the first thing he does is "overlay" the CD cover. Get the necessities on the CD cover then he can manipulate the other things any one wants. For instance copywrite date has to be on a CD somewhere and "compact disk digital audio" is a have to be there thing too. There are specific spots for these two items. And the rules have to be followed pretty much to the letter with CD covers. Now the jewel case "lay out pages" are a little different. The copywrite and compact disk digital and audio has to be there somewhere in the 4 page layout but it's not a requirement for "where to place" .

CD's cannot be replicated without the rules being followed to the letter. Then he can play with what ever the client wants as a CD cover and jewel case format.

I understood what you said. "Overlay" is what PSP calls "Layering."

Would you consider posting some of the things you've made for fun or some of his? Not the ones he does for business, because of the copyright.

Upload them to your photobucket account, then email me, and I'll walk you through it. Looking around for a site with fewer ads. Their pages take forever to load on DSL. I have a Fotki account, but they don't have a facility for embedding.

Good idea about the clip board. I use photobucket a lot doing myspace things.
Let's see what else I can find. My furture brother-in-law is a photographer. He takes some great pics. He did a whole series of "flat cat" in the recording studio. LOL!!

The program is called Clipmate. Unlike the original clipboard in Windows, which holds only one item, then erases it, Clipmate hold hundreds of COPY's in folders.
You just right-click and PASTE whatever you want.

OH WOW that's a little too close for comfort!!! Just think of the noise factor..!!

Reminds me of driving around Chicago on Dwight Eisenhower Parkway. O'Hara was just to the left. Airplanes as they were coming in to land and taking off were within a hand's reach when we were standing at a service station. Sppoookkkyyy!!

And dangerous. You could be driving and watching an airplane and next thing you know your under the behind of an 18 wheeler. I know it had to happen a few times. Monster underbelly of a 747 coming right at ya.

Seems to me I read where they had changed the landing and taking off pattern at O'Hara not long ago.
